Here Are the Seven Jurors Chosen So Far in Donald Trump's NYC Trial

Four men and three women have so far been selected to hear the trial of former President Donald Trump for bookkeeping misdemeanors that have been transmogrified into an election year spectacle meant to help Joe Biden win the 2024 election.

The judge demands that the other eleven jurors are to be selected and seated by the end of the week to complete a panel of 12 jurors and six alternates. The court is off on Wednesday and will resume Thursday. Judge Juan Merchan, who donated to Joe Biden and whose daughter works for a political company using this trial as a fundraising tool for Democrats, told the lawyers that he expects the jury to be seated and opening arguments to start on Monday.

There is a universe of 500 jurors from which this 18-person panel will be selected. There's a problem with finding jurors who don't want to hang Trump in the public square because, well, Orange Man Bad, which I've already written about.

According to Fox News host Jesse Watters, Trump's lawyers outed several activists who tried to get on the case during jury selection.

"There were undercover activists trying to get on the jury."

Let's take a look at the jury selected so far.

Because he was the first juror to be selected, Juror #1 is the jury foreman which is the way they do it in New York.

Thus far, the jurors chosen appear to be ultra-liberals, who are lying about not holding any Trump opinions, or get their ‘news’ from ultra-liberal media organizations, or are completely in cahoots with the ‘judge’ and prosecutors in the case.

Simply put, they are not there to be fair to Trump and are there to make sure Trump gets convicted on a total lie of a case.

I can’t believe trumps lawyers allowed two lawyers on the jury. His lawyers are not the best.

To be accepted, these seven must have claimed they haven’t heard anything about the case in the news, and are therefore unbiased. In other words, all seven are liars.

Trump's lawyers may be playing dumb. They could be preparing for an appeal on grounds of a biased jury and a biased judge and biased prosecutors, all of which are true. The case may not even proceed to the end, because it could be tossed out on grounds of biases, and on grounds of being a farcical case.

I find it very hard to believe that anyone in this country who is intelligent enough to serve on a jury doesn’t have *some* opinion about Trump. I can only accept that people might have no opinion about this particular case.

You only get so many challenges. Imagine how biased those who got bounced were.

Judge Juan Merchan, who donated to Joe Biden

According to the FEC, the Judge donated to ActBlue and not to Joe Biden.

Either way, it is violation of the New York Rules of Judicial Conduct which states in salient part

Section 100.5 A judge or candidate for elective judicial office shall refrain from inappropriate political activity. (A) Incumbent Judges and Others Running for Public Election to Judicial Office. (1) Neither a sitting judge nor a candidate for public election to judicial office shall directly or indirectly engage in any political activity ***

Prohibited political activity : ***

(h) soliciting funds for, paying an assessment to, or making a contribution to a political organization or candidate;

ActBlue was mentioned on the news yesterday as funding the pro-Palestinian protests which were blocking bridges and highways.

So far the only hopeful speculation about the jurors was that two are lawyers so they might see through legal charades...but most lawyers are Democrats.

I'm not sure anyone can be stricken based solely on that. And there is a limit to the pool size, so they take a risk of someone even worse.

I don't think lawyers or any LE or court officials should be allowed, though. The rest of the jury will give those people's opinions too much weight.

I hope so. This judge is treating trump like he’s a mass murderer. I am sure I never saw anything like it. Maybe on judge Judy years ago.
