Yeah, I don’t think this is a good idea during the eve of an election.

Do they deserve to run the House?

Sure, it stinks, but it's also pretty bad to have the speaker undermine the American people.

“ We never had it.”

The fact that these cretins don’t consider Trumps public support of maybe 200,000,000 voters shows they are democrats

They should be loudly protesting and seeeking judicial means to stop all these criminal charges

They don’t want Trump to win

I can say trumps never committed a crime why can’t one of these peopl?

Because they hate Trump. They hate us, the US and they should lose. The heck with them

Look at Johnson’s record as Speaker and then explain to us how that would be such a bad thing.

Never mind Kevin McCarthy, Mike Johnson is indistinguishable from Paul Ryan at this point.

Who could have predicted it was a bad idea to follow the petty grievances of this guy

I agree.

I am NOT happy with some of what Mike Johnson is doing and I have LET HIM KNOW by phone calls!!!

BUT that being said, we are on a THIN EDGE right now and if we lose the HOUSE it's a SPIRAL down to a LOT worse than we are right now......we are in critical times!!!!

Thank Mike Johnson then, for not protecting Santos, who was a dubious character but he was OUR dubious character, and for not playing hardball with McCarthy and... whatshisname, the guy from Wisconsin. Promise them the lead or the lead if they leave before the election.

Nice little Baptist boys don't do that kinda stuff though. That wouldn't be nice.

So what? Johnson takes his orders from the Demons. Not a damn bit of difference between them.

We will lose the house and probably presidency because of this and how it will be spun, GOP is nothing but chaos etc, right wing nut jobs etc etc.. And the Dems will control the House and get much more than what Johnson is supporting. Stupid is as stupid does

Dems know how to win and we just like to critize each other
and yap about RINOs without realizing you need to win elections to get your way , anyone who agrees with this motion should donate $s to the Trump campaign because they are going to need it.

I have a question beyond any particular issue:

How is it good IN GENERAL when a Speaker can block a vote by the full House on any particular issue, particularly when it is clear that such a vote would easily pass?

I fail to see where our Founders intended a 4TH piece of government that essentially has veto power.

The whole idea is that we elect Representatives and Senators who then VOTE ON STUFF. If we don’t like their votes, we don’t vote for them.

"The Republicans are about to lose the House Way to go slick"

I guess you haven't realized yet that when Republicans have the majority in the House, they behave as if they don't. It's been that way for decades. They've even voted to share power with RATS when they have had a slim majority. Congressional Republicans are a bunch of gutless wonders, and people continuing to vote for Rinos, just to keep a seat Republican, only perpetuates the problem.
