John Dean, a White House counsel to former President Richard Nixon, used just two words to describe the raft of unsuccessful appeals that former President Donald Trump has filed in his futile attempts to delay the start of his criminal hush money trial.
“I think these appeals now, everybody knows, are frivolous, they’re desperate,” Dean told CNN’s Boris Sanchez on Wednesday.
The four-time-indicted presumptive GOP presidential nominee “doesn’t want this case to go on before he has to face the voters,” Dean added. “And it is not going to help his campaign contrary to any thoughts that he pretends that these are helpful.”
Trump’s legal team earlier Wednesday lost a third attempt — in only the last week — to delay the start of the trial.
Jury selection is scheduled to commence on Monday, and Dean argued it would be “extraordinary” if it didn’t begin as planned.

John Dean doesn’t want me to vote for Trump. Hmmm... this presents a real dilemma... what to do... what to do... you know what? I think that I will defy John Dean and support Trump anyway. It really wasn’t much of a dilemma.

Never forget how the dems got to Dean in the “watergate” coup. Eugene Kolodny’s book “Silent Coup” is quite definite- John Dean’s wife Maureen Dean was a call girl and still had her photo in the democrat, DNC call girl order book (there being such a thing, which the Watergate burglars apparently took and thus this was in evidence. Known to dems— a way to get Dean to turn on Nixon and he did- limp noodle spine that he was. Point of actual fact Nixon’s error was in supporting his overzealous aides and there was NO need whatsoever with a burglary (thought to have been set by derp staters then to get, Nixon)— he should have fired all of them and destroyed the tapes. He won in a landslide, FReepers here may recall.
George McGovern was no threat at all- and the Commies never forgave Nixon for exposing Alger Hiss and Harry Hopkins— factually proven Soviet agents w/in FDR and Truman admins.

But if he is complaining about delaying the trial, I must ask why the trial was not brought up years ago...but of course we all know the reason--no election then.
