What’s next? $500,000 cash for a gun purchase application fee? Two year waiting period? All weapons to have one round capacity limit. $900,000 to buy one round of ammo. Any family from a school shooting incident can ask for a cash settlement in the millions per person.

Here in Nevada, CCW can go to an FFL, buy gun, fill out form, show CCW, and walk out with purchased gun. Sadly, they screwed up the private-party transfer to the $$$ benefit of FFL dealers, wherein a CCW holder has to go through a background check each time, just like a non-vetted buyer. Maybe gets fixed but not if money is lost in the process.
Bottom line is that I'm not opposed to basic, simple background check if it is the same for all parties, allowing for pre-cleared via CCW, etc.

Not the first in this thread to say it, but the ‘gun show loophole’ never existed.
What they are really trying to outlaw is private citizens from transferring a firearm to another private citizen without government permission.
Let’s have transaction receipts for all the gun buybacks too.
