Here in Nevada, CCW can go to an FFL, buy gun, fill out form, show CCW, and walk out with purchased gun. Sadly, they screwed up the private-party transfer to the $$$ benefit of FFL dealers, wherein a CCW holder has to go through a background check each time, just like a non-vetted buyer. Maybe gets fixed but not if money is lost in the process.
Bottom line is that I'm not opposed to basic, simple background check if it is the same for all parties, allowing for pre-cleared via CCW, etc.
Well that’s fine for Nevada, but the rest of us in free America do have a problem with NICS checks for private sales. You can keep that anti-2A claptrap in Nevada.
Every gun I’ve bought at a gun show I had to pass a background check. My CHL bypasses that, and that’s why I renewed it. Constitutional Carry is the law in Texas now.
