Ron DeSantis: One Million Republican Registration Advantage ‘Is Within Reach’ in Florida
Breitbart ^ | April 5, 2024 | Hannah Knudsen

A voter registration advantage of one million is “within reach” in Florida, Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) said, following reports that Republicans are nearing 900,000 more registered voters in the Sunshine State than Democrats.

“Prior to 2021, FL never had more registered Republicans than Democrats,” DeSantis said. “Now, a million voter R registration advantage is within reach.”

“Hillsborough (Tampa) is about to flip from D to R, which will mean every county in the Tampa Bay market has a R advantage in this previously ‘swing’ region of the state,” the governor continued, detailing the significance of this shift:

After surpassing Democrats in November 2021, Republicans continued to expand their lead, toppling Democrats by more than 100,000 in March 2022. That figure doubled to 200,000 in July. By December 2022, Republicans led by 350,000. In February 2023, Republicans outnumbered Democrats by 400,000 registered voters. The advantage rose to 680,030 as of October 31, 2023. The Republican National Committee (RNC) told Breitbart News in December that GOP voter registration “nearly doubled” in the Sunshine State in 2023 alone.

According to Florida’s Voice, the GOP voter registration advantage stood at 889,569 voters as of April 4, adding further confidence to the Florida GOP.

Having a bold Governor that defends conservative values like liberty, parental rights, fiscal responsibility, election integrity and basic decency has been a winner for the Florida GOP. Playing baseball seems to have taught DeSantis how to keep the team focused and use a big stick.

He just needs to get less conspicuous high heels and learn a lesson in loyalty and he is good to go.

DeSantis bet on Democrat lawfare and he lost because the Republican base saw through the illegal judicial persecution. He betrayed us.

A lot of blue state Republican hostages are buttbhurt over Florida’s success. They take it out on DeSantis and his supporters.

This guy hitched his wagon to MAGA and Trump and once was the great hope of the Washington republicrats regaining control of the party. Thankfully, he failed miserably. Now coming off his humiliating loss in the republican primary he tries to stay in the news. Why? The voters rejected this loser BIGTIME.

Yep!

We'd rather have the orange Democrat than a solid, proven conservative.

Our loss.

We haven't seen nothing yet.

Trump gets to the White House, he's gonna throw MAGA under the bus so fast it'll give people whiplash.

Florida wasn’t in anyone’s bag until DeSantis cleaned up the voting rolls. Remember? They nearly elected a black drug addicted homosexual.

He was president once before and didn’t throw MAGA under the bus. You have no basis for believing that.

“The voters rejected this loser BIGTIME.”

Opponents of Ronald Reagan said the same thing about him when he challenged and lost to an actual sitting Republican president in the 1976 primaries.

That loss proved to be temporary when he was triumphantly elected president just four years later.

Hopefully the same thing will happen again in 2028.

There will be a proposal on the ballot in Florida about abortion—I think it will put it in the state constitution: abortion until viability (24 weeks) but enough loopholes that in effect all abortions will be legal. The Democrats are hoping that that will drive up turnout, so the Republicans will need their registration advantage.
