Adidas has banned German football fans from customising Jerseys with the number 44 amid claims it bares a striking resemblance to the logo for the Nazi SS units.

SS units were the most responsible for crimes against humanity committed by the Nazis during World War Two.

Not that I’m for banning numbers, but based on the picture in the article, if you slanted the number slightly it would resemble the Nazi SS logo.

Much like illiterate muslims saying the Air Jordan flame logo blasphemed Mohammad.

But did Adidas ‘playfully’ change the German flag to something completely different as Nike did to the English flag?

Who cares?

Perpetually offended professional victims can, one and all, bugger off. Quit pandering to them.

They could easily have changed the shape, or “font” of the 4. It looks kind of silly anyway.

I don't see it.

I find this attitude sillier for the first time in history, the kit's colour is bright pink - with supporters claiming the colour was picked to represent the country's diversity, the BBC reported.

And then there's Nike, Outraged fans demand Nike recalls England's official kit for Euro 2024 after it changed St George's Cross from red to light blue and purple - as manufacturer claims 'playful update' will 'unite and inspire'

I don’t care, it’s just interesting to read about, supposedly it’s illegal in Germany to give the heil Hitler salute, it just stands to reason that in Germany they don’t want a bunch of German Soccer fans wearing what appears to be Nazi SS shirts.

It may not be illegal in the USA, but what would the reaction be if some company started selling a shirt that appeared to show KKK logos.
