In 2019 my life was changed by an act of terrorism perpetrated by Brenton Tarrant in Christchurch, New Zealand, which claimed the lives of 51 civilians, including my close friend Atta Elayyan. Tarrant drew inspiration from Anders Breivik, who carried out a terrorist attack in Oslo eight years prior. Breivik, a self-styled Christian crusader, justified his heinous deeds by citing an “existential conflict” between the West and Islam.

I believe it is a Christian act to be prepared to do battle
if we must, but we should not commit evil deeds to bring on
battles. If hostilities break out, we must defend those who
depend on us to do so. I’m talking about domestically or
even internationally, as long as we don’t get carried away.
I’ve said something on Instagram that I must say here.
1. The goal of the Arabs on the West Bank and in Gaza, is
to kill every Jew “...from the Jordan River to the
Mediterranean Sea.”
2. The goal of Israel is to live by its neighbors in peace.
3. Israel reacts to acts of terrorism. It never never
strikes out out during periods of peace.
These three things should tell anyone all they need to
know, to understand what is going on.

Considering that the Koran, Sura 2 verses 186,187and 188 explicitly commands Muslims to kill infidels when ever possible is it any surprise?
In fact, a further reading of the “Holy book” makes it clear that non-believers are to be treated as badly as one can get away with short of actual murder until said murder is convenient.
My reading (Admittedly incomplete) leads me to understand the the only sure and certain way for a believer to reach paradise is to die a “Martyr” in the process of killing or trying to kill infidels.
How do you deal with people who believe God has commanded them to kill you?
It’s all about what you highlight and downplay, for folks like this.
But... If you look at it entirely empirical, and have numbers that aren’t fudged (Islamic inspired terrorism is massively under stated because of creative record keeping), you’d find that even after 9-11, this religion is a major cause of much of the threat we face.
People like this writer are no different than folks that STILL use Eric Rudolf and 97/98 as their shining example of the great threat granny poses standing before an abortion clinic.
Likewise, even if you go to the furthest right fringes you’d see that the threat these white supremacists and neo Nazis etc pose is empirically maybe 1/5 that from the far fingers of the left which this writer entirely ignores. Even when you have a neo-nazi rally, you will often find MORE people in an opposition rally and sometimes more violent, than the neo-nazis. I’m not kidding, it is not unusual to have a gathering of neo-nazis, and then have three times as many people show up in a counter rally and beat their @ss, in broad daylight.
It’s all about numbers really, that is if we wanted to be objective about this issue. But the DOJ itself beging woke, tends to overplay the DT right wing threat while downplaying both Islamic and far left threats, see ANTIFA and how the DOJ was slow and weak to react when Portland was on fire (literally) and you had cops getting shot at, an autonomous zone declared, federal court houses destroyed...
