Gallagher announced he will leave in mid-April. If Gallagher would have left before April 9th he would have triggered a special election in his district. Because he is leaving after April 9th but still in April, there will be no special election so the seat will remain empty.
This ensures that Republicans will lose another seat in Congress.
This is how the Uniparty works.
They do everything they can to screw their voters. Dirty Ken Buck already said more Republicans will follow him out of Congress before the year ends.
This will give Democrats the majority just as the 2024 election unfolds.

That's not what the Supreme Court said. They can pass legislation defining what constitutes an insurrection is and what the penalty is, and then the courts have to enforce it and the Supreme Court gets ultimate appellate review.

The democrats strive for that every election. They can only flip the House if they win enough elections.
The RINOs are the ones now who are trying to flip the House just now. We will have to wait to see if they succeed, if the Republicans refuse to kick out Mike Gallagher before the April 9 deadline.

I think this is the insurance-nuclear option. They are prepping it in case they have to use it. It’s a scorched earth move and they will only do it if if looks like Trump is very likely to beat the cheating. Perhaps by design the SC left the door open to this

This guy is an idiot. The current house has no say in certifying an election.. It is the January 2025 house that has that task.

What would prevent the state of Wisconsin from changing the date of April 8th and declaring a special election?
If they fail to certify his win, it’ll be obvious we cannot vote our way out of this dictatorship. So it’ll be civil war. They may be wishing for the good old days of January 6.
