Trump-backed candidate Bernie Moreno will win the Republican nomination for Senate in Ohio to face off against incumbent Sen. Sherrod Brown (D) this November, Decision Desk HQ has projected.
Moreno, a former car dealership owner and the father-in-law of Rep. Max Miller (R-Ohio), defeated state Sen. Matt Dolan (R) and Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose (R) in a messy primary that intensified in the closing days of the campaign.
Moreno had built up a significant advantage over his opponents in endorsements, gathering support from former President Trump as well as influential Ohio politicians Sen. J.D. Vance (R) and Rep. Jim Jordan (R).

2020, Dewine predicted Biden would take Ohio. Trump won by 8. Dewine endorsed Dolan. These Statists Republicans are not your friends.
Great question. One thing going for the car sales man, is that brown has a long history of screwing the people of Ohio. It’s time for him to go.

Flying south to north from the gulf states, you pass over restricted airspace from Kentucky for hundreds of miles because of Ft. Knox and some nuclear sites. I won't stop for fuel in Ohio, peeling off the airway to Pittsburgh or Gary Indiana instead.
The whole state is Hinky. I used to be required to land in Toledo for business trips and stay at hotels until the guys getting trained at Metler Toledo were finished their classes. I hated it. Highway projects everywhere that never progressed.

The general election will be a hard one to win, just because Sherrod Brown is a skilled campaigner. And he will have unlimited rat funding. But he has not run against a strong challenger before. Up till now his GOP opponents have been pushovers. So we can expect all kinds of sewage from the democrats, but we’ll see. One advantage Moreno has is that after a tough primary fight, there is probably nothing new that Brown can bring up that hasn’t already been heard.

No DeWine has lost credibility after his 2020 misfire about Trump and a debacle handling Covid. His support or lack of it at this point means nothing. He is a lame duck governor and nothing more.
Another advantage he has is Trump’s coattails in Ohio this year.
And in Dim primary, Phillips got almost the same percentage of votes as did Haley.
