The always end up defining assault weapon as any semi auto center fire rifle.

It’s a Diane Fineswine coined word that can be applied to any weapon the Democraps hate.

It would still be a violation of the Second Amendment. Don’t you meatheads in Colorado like the freedoms guaranteed by the Bill of Rights? Y’all need to jump on a “love boat” and cruise down to the Caribbean and repopulate Haiti.

SCOTUS has already ruled on this. Eventually a state is going to ignore SCOTUS and do it anyway.

New York did it. California did it. New Jersey? did it.

New York's zany "you can't conceal carry unless it is explicitly allowed on private property" got struck down. More of their most recent gun control law is on the chopping block.

"CO Democrat Seretary of State [??? emphasis added] Wants State-Level ‘Assault Weapons’ Ban"

FR: Never Accept the Premise of Your Opponent’s Argument

Forget about the activist CO Democrat Secretary of State.

The real problem with restrictive gun laws in any state this. The corrupt Congress is stubbornly refusing to do it's 14th Amendment duty to make penal laws that discourage state actors from abridging constitutionally enumerated protections, 2nd Amendment (2A) in this example.

In fact, the congressional record shows that Rep. John Bingham, the main author of Section 1 above, had included 2A when he read the Bill of Rights as main examples of constitutionally enumerated immunities and protections that 14A applies to the states.

“See 2nd Amendment (Article II) about middle of 2nd column.” — John Bingham, Appendix to the Congressional Globe

The remedy for enforcing the constitutionally enumerated protections of citizens in all states is this. Patriots need to first wake up to the problem that the beloved but worthless federal career lawmakers that they keep reelecting for unknown reasons are not doing their jobs to make 14A-based penal laws that discourage state actors from abridging those protections.

More specifically, Democratic and Republican Trump supporters need to IMMEDIATELY primary ALL state and federal Trump-hating celebrity incumbent lawmakers and executives up for reelection this year, except for MTG, Gaetz & Company (and others?).

Celebrity incumbent lawmakers then need to be replaced with Trump-supporting patriot lawmakers in November so that hopeful Trump 47 will not be a lame duck president from the first day of his second term in office, but will be supported by the new Congress to not only finish draining the swamp, but also do its duty make 14A-based penal laws.

Just like Calif, the voters allowed this to happen to a beautiful and formerly conservative state.

Might be interesting to see how the citizens outside of Denver react to this if it becomes law.

“Caetano v Massachusetts”....SCOTUS...2016. A 9-0 vote overturning a weapons charge conviction in Massachusetts. Exactly the same issue as this one.
