Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told his government on Sunday that international leaders who are pushing for elections in the midst of the war are trying to “paralyze the country,” forcing Israel to stop fighting and lose the war.
Netanyahu did not name President Joe Biden explicitly, but spoke in the wake of Biden’s endorsement Friday of an alarming speech Thursday by U.S. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) demanding new elections in Israel to oust Netanyahu.

Schumer is fully aware that 10-15% of the Democratic base is pro-Palestinian and anti Isreal. He also knows that without their enthusiastic support, Biden cannot be reelected and the Democrats will lose control of the Senate. His comments will not placate the radical leftists and will only cause the voters to realize how bizarre the Democratic leadership has become. The days when the Democratic platform firmly commits to Israel are over.
I’m sure Israel has its own rules governing elections and it doesn’t need or appreciate the meddling of idiotic foreigners.

Israel requires, I think, at least a 90 day campaign if snap election is called, and it can easily take a couple months after elections to put together a governing coalition.
Hundreds of thousands of the 9 million Israelis are not in their own voting locations, leading to more election chaos.
An Israeli election isn’t required until late 2026.
