The Biden administration is funneling $1 billion in taxpayer funds to America's northern and southern borders to make dozens of federal ports of entry more climate friendly.
The General Services Administration (GSA) announced it would direct Inflation Reduction Act funds to support the climate initiatives at the border, even as the ongoing surge of migrants strains federal resources. While GSA Administrator Robin Carnahan and Andrew Mayock, President Biden's Federal Buy Clean Task Force co-chair, said the action would reduce "harmful emissions," the move was slammed by Republicans and experts.
“As usual, the Biden administration is refusing to address a problem of their own making," House Natural Resources Committee Chairman Bruce Westerman, R-Ark., told Fox News Digital. "Instead, they’re touting a billion-dollar investment in green technology at the border while Biden’s border crisis continues to wreak havoc on local communities and federal lands. Talk about fiddling while Rome burns."
“Spending a billion dollars to build a so-called ‘environmentally friendly’ port of entry feels like a slap in the face to Americans watching our open border policies trash our beautiful public lands day in and day out," said Westerman.

I thought it would tell us what an “environmentally friendly” border would look like...I can picture tents to keep the rain off and they certainly would not harm or damage the environment. We could ALL move into tents..doing our part for the environment.
Has Biden ever earned an honest dollar in his life? He has no concept whatsoever about money - how it’s earned or how it SHOULD be spent - meaning taxpayer dollars. But at the same time, we have to realize he’s not the one doing the “thinking” in that administration..
That was my thought too. There seems to be no end of slush funds for Biden to tap and spend on unpopular ideas, without the bother of appropriating through congress.
Sounds like they plan to spruce up the place, make it more accommodating for the newcomers. How nice.
At this point, I just throw up my hands. Everyone knows Biden and his commies are doing this on purpose and nothing is done to stop them. God Bless Abbott but his actions are just pushing more illegals into AZ and CA.

Every dime spent by Biden is voted for by Congress. Even worse, Congress gives the president huge discretion in spending billions of dollars.
Republicans have controlled the House and the power of the purse since January 2021. The billion dollars Biden is spending here were only possible because a majority of Republicans in the House voted for it.
It really makes no difference which party is in control of Congress, the spending spree will continue until the borrowing and money printing to fund it causes hyperinflation or an economic collapse.
