Haiti’s most notorious gang leader, Jimmy Chérizier, also known as “Barbecue,” now appears to be the most powerful man in the country. Cherizier apparently got the nickname due to his penchant for burning people alive and eating their body parts.
Barbecue is spearheading the violence that has caused Haiti’s capital, Port-au-Prince, to descend into anarchy, with his ‘G9 and Family’ gang calling for the resignation of the beleaguered Prime Minister Ariel Henry, who has not been able to return to Haiti since traveling to Guyana on February 25.
The deteriorating political situation in Haiti has led to a notable increase in Haitian illegal aliens attempting to enter the US.

IQ is to a significant extent a measure of education and what you’ve been exposed to in life. I know it’s supposed to be an independent measure of native intelligence, but that’s a big stretch. Also, IQ and violence are not obligatory fellow travelers. That said, the kinds of social factors and environments that promote the violent behavior are also not conducive to education or learning how to think.
Poor place has always been a basket-case where the better fortunes of the larger part of the island, Dominican Republic, surely inflames shame, envy and inadequacy.
Factor in natural disasters, the Duvalier regimes, their bizarre combination of vodou and Catholicism, of 11 million people only 5 million working (half illiterate), current president just resigned in exile after the last was assassinated just three years ago...
And we’re told a wave of their refugees are on there way with the Biden Administration looking to welcome them.
Our ‘ship of state’ is being assaulted on several fronts and refusal to defend it is treason. Meanwhile we should repel all boarders.
