The fellow who got the position is a skilled “China hand,” not a warmongering Russophobic descendant of bitter Trotskyites.
The thing is, she was an “acting” appointment with no Senate confirmation. She HAD to resign after 210 days or go before the Senate and be held accountable. I’m of the opinion that we’ve been sold a bill of goods and she will be back, rather, she hasn’t gone anywhere.
