There are lot of good things going on lately. My nihilism is starting to lift some about the future of America.

When I used to fly more often, the airports had that CNN crap everywhere. If I was within earshot of the broadcast, I would listen for 2-3 minutes to verify they were still broadcasting horsepuckey. If I ever heard or viewed any advertisements on CNN, I would make a mental note to never purchase that product/service.
Reminds me of that 1970s program with Leonard Nimoy “In Search Of.” They would take so-called ‘mysterious’ subjects and discus, speculate. I majored in Spanish and archaeology in college, until I learned you cannot pay a mortgage, or anything else, with archaeology. I did get to participate in some excavations in Central America, and I was well-versed in much of the ancient North, Central, and South American civilizations. During some of the In Search Of episodes, they would say some things were ‘unexplainable.’ I would tell whoever I was with that I could ‘explain’ what was on the television screen. Sometimes people would not want to hear the truth, enjoying the ‘mystery’ of it all. Other times people wanted to learn, or test me on the confidence of my statement that I knew what was on the screen. Of course, I do not know the truth of every episode, but after enough times of explaining, some people ceased watching the program. The idea that humans, Egypt, Central America, wherever, needed aliens to show them how to survive became very old, very fast. All my teachers were real scientists, and facts are stubborn things.
The latest LIDAR technology is ‘discovering more and more about the past. Large and small cities have been revealed. I always knew this would happen, with or without LIDAR. The first scenes in the Indiana Jones movie show ancient structures that the jungle has taken back. Unless you work everyday to keep the forest, rainforest back, it will soon digest whatever humans construct. We did not experience the local headhunters, but the images of the outside of the ruins looked very accurate.

Any network that pays a no-talent idiot like Chris Wallace 8 million needs to die a horrific death.
Last time I flew I didn’t even see CNN on the TVs I saw. The bar mostly had sports channels on, and there was a CNBC store, which obviously had NBC program programming on.
I'm sure they'll land on their feet like Tucker Carlson because there is sooooo much demand for their output. Not.
And Ted Turner is sitting on his porch, looking over his 2 million acres and smiling…..
So the commie bass turds might not be around to do a cheeerful play by play on the total collapse of America? That’s too bad.
They need somebody like Elon Musk to come in and buy CNN. Overhaul the program. Fire the anchors. Hire young employees who will be cheap. Tie it in with X (formerly Twitter).

CNN has watched their viewer numbers drop for over a decade. Their solution? Double-down on the lies and one-sided reporting. What did they THINK would happen?

The last time I remember changing the channel to CNN was when Bernard Shaw was reporting from a Bagdad hotel rooftop when cruise missiles were visibly flying by in the back ground.
Lots of talent can do what they do, and would be willing to do it for pennies on the dollar.
It is insane they are paid that much.
While we’re all probably cheering, this is really just a small victory now. The big victories are growing increasingly out of reach.
