‘Drunk driver’ Jamie Komoroski to be freed from jail less than a year after killing bride in crash with golf cart minutes after wedding

Accused DUI killer Jamie Komoroski has been granted bail and will be released from jail less than a year after she plowed her car into a golf cart, destroying a newlywed couple’s lives, The Post has learned.

Komoroski, 26, posted $150,000 bond on Friday and is expected to be released today and placed under house arrest in Charleston County, South Carolina, with a SCRAM ankle monitor, according to jail records and sources close to her case.

The device is worn by “DUI and high-risk alcohol clients” as an ankle bracelet and tests the person’s sweat for alcohol 24/7, according to the manufacturer’s site.

Komoroski must remain in Charleston County and will only be permitted to leave her approved residence for medical emergencies or court orders. She must also surrender her passport, and is not allowed to drive, according to court records.

A judge previously denied bail to Komoroski, who faces four felony charges in relation to the crash, but ruled she would be allowed out on bond if her trial was not scheduled to start before March.

I do too. Has it really been a year already?

What a tragic year for the victims.

What happened? Did she start identifying as black? Or maybe she passed herself off as an illegal Venezuelan.

In 21st century America, White Lives Don't Matter.

But it sounds like her trial hasn't taken place yet so she may have to spend more time incarcerated.

Yes. The headline is misleading.

She’s released on bond with 24/7 house arrest.

She actually hasn’t been convicted and sent to prison yet. Lets hope some idiot judge doesn’t let her off.

If only so-called insurrectionists could be released on reasonable bond pending trial!

I remember when society considered drunk driving to be the unforgivable sin.

What happened?

In her defense, it is hard to imagine how dark the unlighted country roads in SC are unless you have driven them. Pitch black. It is not hard to imagine overtaking a golf cart doing 19 mph and not seeing it until too late. It was a bad idea to take a golf cart out on that road.

The headline is misleading. She hasn’t gone to trial yet and was released on the bond via prior agreement that the state would present its case within a year.

The state failed so she gets out on bond and monitoring pending the trial.

Who knows? She might get run over by a golf cart. Several times.

According to the original article from last year, that section of the road is 25 MPH. The golf cart was reported to have been traveling in the same direction as she was at 19 MPH. She hit the golf cart at 65 MPH. More than twice the limit. There is no defense for her.

65 in a 25mph? It was not out on some dark country road. They were in a fairly populated area and was just a slight distance from where they had been married. There is video of them driving by just moments before the idiot zoomed in.

THAT is what I recall about the this primarily.

She was whining that HER life was over. She had no clue about the irony in that.

You’re right: Bitch.

“it is hard to imagine how dark the unlighted country roads in SC “

IIRC, this happened on a well-lit path on a resort property.

There’s really no defense for her behavior even though she didn’t intend to kill anyone. Furthermore the safety of others was not a factor prior to getting intoxicated. Is she considered a greater monster than others that have committed similar crimes? yeah, and the related indignation is kinda garish.

I agree with all that. The driver was irresponsible and of course at fault.

That said, cars & golf carts together is asking for an accident. Especially at a resort/resort area where the alcohol is commonly flowing freely.

I would not be surprised if the verdict is timed served + probation. smh
