"NY attorney general sues world's largest beef producer over methane emissions"

Shouldn't she be going after biden for the same kind of emissions?

Doesn’t she have any real criminals to go after?

What efforts the U.S. puts into “net zero” will be made up by China in their increasing output of CO2. Are we willing to spank ourselves for the bad actions of another?

By the way, what is the annual limit of the billions of metric tons of CO2 needed to reach net-zero? Parts per million? To “turn back the clock” on climate change, we would need to eliminate today’s emissions (humans emit annually 35 billion tons) plus an enormous backlog. To reach 350 parts per million—the level of atmospheric carbon dioxide in 1988—humans would need to eliminate more than 500 billion tons in emissions. The elites who won’t do the math, will end up shooting humans to get what they want.

"As families continue to face the daily impacts of the climate crisis, they are willing to spend more of their hard-earned money on products from brands that are better for the environment," James said in a statement. "When companies falsely advertise their commitment to sustainability, they are misleading consumers and endangering our planet."

Virtue signaling families with money to burn who support this Arnold Diaz wannabe throw their money like that, not regular families.

95% of the CO2 on this planet comes from nature itself. Man contributes only 5%. Since the current level is only approx. 410 PPM, eliminating man’s contribution of 21 PPM will have absolutely no effect whatsoever.....

Their headquarters is in Colorado. Does the NY attorney general even have standing? If I was JBS USA CEO, NY would get no beef deliveries.

“”JBS repeatedly claims that it will reach net zero by 2040.”

JBS shouldn’t have jumped on to this woke, climate change bandwagon to begin with and shouldn’t have made such a promise.

New York State has a law to be net zero by 2050. If they allow any cows to remain in the state, they’re committing fraud too.

If a cow eats grass, its intestinal microbes will digest it, releasing its carbon into the atmosphere.

If the grass simply dies, the microbes in the soil will digest it, releasing the carbon into the atmosphere.

The amount of carbon is exactly the same, either way.

Now charge Hochul and the NY state legislature for their climate flimflam. No new gas stoves or gas furnaces by 2026, no new gas cars after 2035, while pretending that solar and wind power will carry the load and ignoring the environmental cost of electrical cars.

That’s not misleading the public?

JBS could go out of business on December 31, 2039 and achieve Net Zero by 2040 quite easily.

All sources of methane combined make up only 0.00017% of the atmosphere. That’s right, 17/100,000ths of 1%. What percent of this miniscule amount is generated by cow farts/burps? Good luck Ms. James, another waste of tax-payer money.

It seems she is using the same legal theory she used against Trump. The one others were told they need not worry about.
