A Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) student has created a device that allows humans to communicate with machines using our minds - and it truly is incredible.

Arnav Kapur created a device called AlterEgo, which is a wearable type of headset that allows users to communicate with technology without even speaking a word.

So how does it work?

If he wants to create something useful, he could come up
with a device that figures out what our women are angry
about, that we should already know, and clues us in just
before zero hour.

That should take a bit of his free time between 20 and
when he checks out 70 years later.

Not buying it at all...the device itself looks like packing material.
How would you control it from seeking info about every thought you have?

The story following that one is pretty neat, tho. Pimeyes, huh? Might be interesting to see for some.

Surely this is called "grant money" and "venture capital" pursuits. The article's prose is silly -- "search the internet for the correct answer." Yup. And plenty of incorrect answers too.

That this device might assist those with handicaps, the article reads a bit like "wouldn't you buy one of these too?"

Yes, this also smells like the early stages of a scam.

--- "...this also smells like the early stages of a scam."

Indeed. It seems in this era we are awash with scams, new ones being birthed as the old ones wither and fail.

It’s to help people…

"A primary focus of this project is to help support communication for people with speech disorders including conditions like ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) and MS (multiple sclerosis)," MIT explained.

But really……it’s transhumanism

"Beyond that, the system has the potential to seamlessly integrate humans and computers - such that computing, the Internet, and AI would weave into our daily life as a 'second self' and augment our cognition and abilities."
