3 submarine cables cut in the Red Sea between Jeddah and Djibouti. AAE-1, EIG and SEACOM/TGN-Eurasia are down. Note: Authorities looking at potential terror link.
Confirmed: Submarine cables cut by Houthis in Yemen waters.
To repair the cables, need permission from Yemen to enter their waters
Insurance companies have canceled insurance for cable ships to ply in Yemen waters
No maintenance cable ships willing to do repairs
Cable ships cost $60-&100 million each. Who will take the risk?

This is going great. Thanks, Brandon.
December 24th, 2023, a Telegram channel linked to the Houthis published a map showing the networks of submarine communications cables in the Mediterranean Sea, the Red Sea, the Arabian Sea, and the Persian Gulf. The image was accompanied by an ominous message: “There are maps of international cables connecting all regions of the world through the sea. It seems that Yemen is in a strategic location, as internet lines that connect entire continents — not only countries—pass near it.”
Feeble Biden should have blasted them so massively in the first place that they would be spending all their time and resources on recovering their flea-laden country.
Keeping them busy putting out fires and looking for survivors is what is needed. Not pinpoint munitions. These people do not have a pot to piss in but have the time and cooperation with IRAN TO WREAK HAVOC UPON THE WORLD.
TIME IS UP, HIT HARD AND HIT ‘EM AGAIAN AND AGAIN UNTIL THEY RAISE THE WHITE FLAG. Oh, I forgot Joe is kind of at the helm.
Use the satellites. Isn’t that what they’re for anyway?
Iran at work through proxies
Can you say Arc Light?
(This is going great. Thanks, Brandon.)
All according to plan.
They’re going to get Daniel 7:23.
Oh, noes! Comms will be down to Djibouti.
How will money transfers go through?
Booze, hookers and gambling hardest hit.
Who’s affected by this?
Meanwhile, the Biden will only let our military play patty cake with these scum. Going to get our troops killed.
Anyone have views on the validity of cf.org?
“Submarine cables cut by Houthis in Yemen waters.”
That is hostile. What does it take to reduce the activities of Houthi “rebels” to ineffectual?
Collateral damage acceptable.
I thought the Houthis were basically fighting with sticks and shovels. Who knew they had this capability?
Last week the Houthis sent out letters to shippers and insurers offering not attack their ships for a price. They need to contact the cable companies and offer “protection” for their remaining cables. Would you put your faith in Operation Prosperity Guardian or pay Houthi’s the protection racket?
“The Houthis on Thursday sent shippers and insurers formal notice of what they termed a ban on vessels linked to Israel, the U.S. and Britain from sailing in surrounding seas, seeking to reinforce their military campaign.
The Houthis’ communication, the first to the shipping industry outlining a ban, came in the form of two notices from the Houthis’ newly dubbed Humanitarian Operations Coordination Center sent to shipping insurers and firms. The aim is to force sailing companies to collaborate with the Houthis to guarantee the safety of their ships”
That’s what I used to think. That is not the case. Nearly all global communication is still using 19th century technology, undersea cables.
(*Deliberate misspelling)
