And many are also unaware that Russia will CLEAR A PATH if the Neocons try to bottle them in their ports, and the US Navy will never even see the missiles that hit them.

Probably true, but assuming that’s so, I keep wondering how it is that Russia has had such difficulty, not long ago in Afghanistan, and now in Ukraine. Something doesn’t seem to “add up.” Of course its nuclear capabilities would make for a whole different ball game.
Both are true, and that is our opportunity for a conservative President to transform the unorganized militia.

Yes, and I’m praying that will be President Trump, and that with the support of a conservative controlled Congress he will get that done.
“Probably true, but assuming that’s so, I keep wondering how it is that Russia has had such difficulty, not long ago in Afghanistan, and now in Ukraine.”
Afghanistan is a bitch to control, as we also learned, and the British learned earlier. Part of the problem is Pakistan, which we used to keep pin-pricking the Soviets there and serves as their ‘Cambodia’.
Ukraine is different. Russia is limiting their actions there partly because they don’t want to destroy the place, as much of the country considers themselves Russian, or at least did before the war (now who knows). Plus, even more so, Russia doesn’t want to create the image for the world of simply smashing their way in, as they would have turned off the (now) main trading partners, particularly India, Africa, and the rest of the Third World, and even China (to an extent). They also don’t want to rule over Western Ukraine, as they know they’re despised there (mainly due to Western soft-power propaganda, not that it matters now).
...and, at this point, they’re happy to let the West empty their arsenals in Ukraine, as it will take us many years, maybe decades for us to rebuild, and hopefully by then, the West may get some ADULTS in charge (I know, stop laughing, but it’s probably worth a shot, from their perspective).
Maybe they remember what was done to the Kulaks back in the 1920s and 30s.
“Maybe they remember what was done to the Kulaks back in the 1920s and 30s.”
I agree, certainly the same for Poland and the Yappers (aka, Baltic States) - so what would Russia gain by trying to rule over them? I cannot think of anything other than keeping them from terrorizing the Russian homeland, and that’s a stretch.
Oh, how about control over a substantial fraction of he world's food distribution with adjacent opportunities to expand that 'market share.'

Actually, I never looked at Finland “Supermarket to the World”, but if you say so...
Read your own posts. We were talking about Ukraine.
I still don’t see Poland and the Yappers as “Supermarket to the World”, as far as Eastern Ukraine goes, that’s a done deal, so no need for me to comment on it anymore.
exactly
the Fakestinian Occupiers of gaza perceived, correctly, that the Israeli Defense Forces were asleep at the guard tower ... and that the Israeli politicians were very weak and wishy-washy about defending their little country
perceived weakness leads to getting attacked
perceived strength leads to safety
You said Russia had no reason to want western Ukraine, to which I responded with a reason to control food and implied that such would therefore be reason to want more. You brought up the Balkains and bundled them with Poland (for reasons I cannot infer determinitavely). Poland is a significant grain producer. The Balkans obviously not.
Afghanistan is a bitch to control, . . .

Thanks for taking the time to provide an informed perspective regarding the past and present military initiatives of Mother Russia.

You’re welcome.
Russia was already the LARGEST grain exporter BEFORE the war began. With the Liberation of Eastern Ukraine, Russia will be EVEN LARGER.
They don’t need a bunch of yapping poodles, be them in Poland or the Baltics.
