Minimum wage is a topic that draws a lot of attention, especially in California, a state that has one of the highest minimum wages in the United States.

In a debate Monday night, Rep. Barbara Lee defended her previous advocacy for a $50 minimum wage.

“In the Bay Area, I believe it was the United Way that came out with a report that very recently $127,000 for a family of four is just barely enough to get by,” Lee said. “Another survey very recently: $104,000. For a family of one, barely enough to get by low income because of the affordability crisis.”

Oh, come on, get serious.

If $50/hr is good, why not $100, or more?

Dems.

They have no idea where money comes from in a legitimate economy, and no concept of working for just rewards.

Dems.

Deceit is their middle name.

Businesses can close at $50/hr just as easily as at $20.

Only 18% of individuals make over $100K now, in jobs that presumably support that much, and they want pretty much everyone to make that and much, much more. Lunch at McDonald’s will cost what dinner at a 5-star restaurant costs now. Inflation will rival that of Weimar Germany.

Geniuses. I guess it sounds good, though, to voters who share these candidates’ IQ level.

The problem with leftists is they too often want what never was, and never will be.

They propped oepn the borders open 50 years ago and encouraged millions and millions of unskilled laborers to American shores. The average Democrat (today) is too ignorant to understand that supply and demand applies to people as well as anything else.

Minimum wage probably would be $35 or $40 an hour today, without any requirements, had they not polluted the worker rolls. I knew they had dropped the brown acid when the head of the AFL-CIO (Trumka) gave illegal migration his blessing.

Don’t be fooled, America. You’ve every right to be pissed off, just make sure the focus of your outrage is directed where it belongs. And the people to whom it belongs have spent all this time making damn sure you won’t connect the dots. In fact that’s about all they have time to do anymore, an indication they’re phony baloney parlor tricks are no longer effective.

It gets really frickin’ ugly once the rug gets pulled, when the music stops, and it won’t be too much longer by most accounts.
