Okay, so this means the FBI are going to take down the power grid to interfere with the elections.
In Other words?:
The FBI is going to disrupt the electricity grid to disrupt the election of Trump, this is just their cover story.
If that does happen, we will need to suspend the Constitution again and let the smart people micromanage our lives for a few months.
It will just be this one time (and the last time too) but then we can get back to being a normal country.

I have wondered about the motivation of all these Chinese nationals coming to the US via South/Central America.
Meaning are they part of an invading army OR are they jumping from a sinking ship.
Peter Zeihan among others has predicting the downfall of China for several years. Their stock market has been tanking. There are reports of women resorting to prostitution because they have no other way to make money. Evergrande, their largest real estate developer is toast. Probably more to follow. Much of their manufacturing is leaving for other countries. They even admitted that their population has dropped by 100 million people.
Basically, everything in the news about China is bad.
Maybe, it is literally rats jumping from a sinking ship.
Simple: just give away lots of EVs and overwhelm the grid.

True, however at the scale required today running non connected power distribution would result in far less efficiency and costs far far higher than they are today
Our grids are quite vulnerable and probably the highest risk we face but all things consider amount of reliable inexpensive power produced and distributed is incredibly impressive

There is no reason to believe China wants to start an existential war with the US.
And the mentioned act of war would do just that.
