Democratic Washington Gov. Jay Inslee signed one of the nation’s most restrictive gun laws in 2023, and now highway shootings are surging in the state.
Over 50 models of guns are banned under the legislation, including popular rifles such as AR-15s and M-16s, and the Democratic Legislature wants to crack down further with several more gun control bills in the body. The state is now seeing a surge in highway shootings, with more than a dozen reported on state highways since the beginning of the year, according to KOMO News.
There have been over 190 reported “shooting incidents” in the state year to date as of Friday, Washington State Police (WSP) told the DCNF. Of these, nine are freeway shooting incidents from the Seattle area that are actively under investigation.
The number of reported shooting incidents in 2023 was similar, at 199 by this time last year, WSP told the DCNF.

It reminds me of the episode “The Anvil Chorus” from The Rifleman. The town marshal appoints someone to fill in for him in his absence, and the person promptly posts a “no gun” notice and starts a confiscation process.
Three outlaws soon arrive and find the town defenseless. It’s not hard to figure out what happens next.

I don't think that the rise in highway shoots has much of anything to do with laws restrictive assault weapons. By the way in the Soviet of Washington the woke laws are so convoluted that by legal definition a tubular magazine 22 LR semiautomatic rifle is an assault rifle. You know one of the weapons of mass destruction and military weapon of war!
This was predicted to happen when Texas made it legal to carry a gun in your car without a permit. Road rage shootings were supposed to skyrocket, except........they didn’t. The numbers plummeted.
Leftists are wrong about everything. They want to raise taxes and ban guns.
