Congressman Mike Gallagher, who was one of the Republicans that voted against the impeachment of DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, has announced he will not be running for re-election in 2024

Filled his pockets enough, eh?
Well, he’s 40 years old. It’s about time to retire.
Check for money transfers, book deals, job with MSNBC/CNN, joining a Lobbyist group, university post, BOD of some woke company or military contractor, etc. That’s how it usually works.
They’re all cashing out now when they can. Betray first, payoff later.

He’s bought, paid off, and on to a lobbying career. The system is so very corrupt.

Patriotic Americans would be more relieved to know if Mike Gallagher has decided to leave the United States.... or the Milky Way galaxy.

“Soo, Mike. You’re not running for re-election, right? Well, this upcoming vote is very important to us. What would it take to get you to vote against it? Say there was a number that could make that vote happen. What would it be?”

So, obviously he was promised something for his vote of “No”.

It’s safe for Republicans (R+10). Very few districts in this country can be safely counted on to elect *conservatives* though and this isn’t one of them.
HOWEVER:
With Democrats set to gerrymander Wisconsin sometime this year, they may now smell blood in the water here and alter the 8th district to be more favorable to them. Their plan is to eliminate 2 Republicans out of the 6 who are in the House, and Gallagher perhaps just made that task easier — first with his traitorous vote and then by eliminating himself from the picture entirely.
