Denver will cut hours at recreation centers, end in-person vehicle registration renewals and eliminate spring flower beds to save $5 million this year, a response to the migrant crisis that is expected to cost the city $180 million.
Mayor Mike Johnston on Friday blasted Congress for failing this week to pass a $118.3 billion bill aimed at stopping the flow of illegal entry at the southern border and making it easier for migrants who enter legally to get work permits.
About 40,000 migrants, mostly from Venezuela, have arrived in Denver over the past year, and more than 3,500 are living in city-funded hotel rooms. Thousands took bus rides to other American cities after arriving in Denver, and an unknown number are trying to stay in the city, find jobs and send their kids to school.
Denver has received more migrants per capita than any other city in the nation, the mayor has said.

I expect soon, we will see the Denver suburban "Karens" complaining that their child's recreation center is closed, the online vehicle registration is overloaded, and there are no more flowers blooming on the local streets and highways.
Also, does anyone really believe that Denver has received more illegal aliens than Texas or Arizona border towns? I have my doubts.

The care and feeding of your favorite illegal aliens (not to mention finding new words to pretend they are not illegal) is an expensive hobby, Denver liberals. Cutting a few things out of the budget is a small sacrifice to pay for the joy and warm feelings that you get from indulging in your favorite pass time.
Send them back. They have to go back. Charter some planes and fly them back to Venezuela

Those are just the immediate direct costs. Other direct costs not counted by government include but not limited to: increased public school costs, increased hospital costs, increased costs from crime and increased insurance costs, increased court and law enforcement costs (even though they really don’t put illegals in prison in these cities there are still processing costs), increased cost of housing for everyone.

Why should you Denverites get nice flower beds? You’ve got to feed and house the invaders you invited in.
As an extra special bonus, the invaders will be given free spray paint cans to add nice artwork to your buildings, road signs and sound walls.

The word seems to have gone out the past two or three weeks from on-high. Suddenly, every article calls them “migrants,” even in the conservative press.
