The Sad State Of Affairs When Black Men Stump For Trump (they’re scared-“nearly 1 in 4 Black folks would vote for him in states that matter)
Yahoo ^ | February 7, 2024 | Dustin J. Seibert

…A New York Times-Siena College poll from October revealed that 22% of all Black voters in six battleground states ― including my native Michigan ― would support Trump in a general election if it were held at that time. Black men seem to be leading this charge: Trump secured 12% of our vote in 2020, up from 8% in 2016.

Considering that the Trump supporter archetype is that of an American-flag-shirt-wearing, far-right white wingnut from Middle America, it’s both frightening and sobering that, even with the information we have about Trump, nearly 1 in 4 Black folks would vote for him in states that matter.

There’s…palpable voter apathy (or antipathy) toward Biden…It’s not ageist to suggest that Biden might be polling poorly now because everyone thinks he’s about five seconds away from pulling one of those Mitch McConnell freezes ― it’s science. …

Reprehensible though he may be, Trump is not a stupid man: Pardoning several prominent Black men before he left office was a strategic move. He let disgraced former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, rappers Lil’ Wayne and Kodak Black; and Death Row Records co-founder Michael “Harry-O” Harris…

Much of this, I believe, is less about Biden the man and more about what he represents: the Democratic Party’s longstanding failure to improve the Black condition in America. No U.S. president in either party has put any real chips into making things better for us… not even Obama: Even though he broke a lot of barriers, hoods that were hoods in 2008 were largely still hoods in 2016.

Still, Trump has given no one any reason to suggest that he will sweep in on his Magic Negro Cape and spend his final four years in office transforming the Black experience in America for the better.

You have to be about one of the most ignorant people in
the land to write some of this.

Considering that the Trump supporter archetype is that of
an American-flag-shirt-wearing, far-right white wingnut from
Middle America, it’s both frightening and sobering that, even
with the information we have about Trump, nearly 1 in 4
Black folks would vote for him in states that matter.

1. We love our nation. How does that make us a wingnut?
Doesn't a statement like that pretty much make the writer
a wingnut?

2. Why is it frightening to back a man who thinks of our
nation first, when it comes to issues of the day?
Tell me what the goal should be, to back the guy that
will sell us out at the ballot box, at the border, with
regard to energy self-sufficiency, pornography, and
sex changes for very young children through adolescence?

How old is this writer, 12?

It is a sad state of affairs when a man believes that he is free when he is actually shackled to the past.

The author is basically saying “Yes, democrats have done nothing for black Americans, but you can’t leave the plantation because we still have work for you to do”.

I noticed at the link that the story just beneath that one is “Biden attacks Trump for opposing border bill, threatens to make immigration a campaign issue”.

Does anyone think the immigration issue is NOT going to be a campaign issue. The Trump campaign already has an ad regarding immigration that ends with the illegal alien lifting up his hands with the double f/u’s to America. (Great ad by the way)

What inner city Black voters don’t understand is...democrats have already cast their ballots for every democrat candidate, it doesn’t matter who a Black voters wants to vote for, the democrat party already has their ballots filled out and ready to be counted, counted multiple times if necessary. The democrat party does not need ACTUAL voters.

I refuse to believe that 75% of blacks will willingly let the Left put their foot on their necks and fit them with shackles. I keep thinking it has to be a smaller number, but every election cycle, I have to realize that any Republican would be thrilled to get 15% of the black vote.

I have heard that if 25% of blacks voted non-Democrat, it would be a death knell to the Democrat party.

It might well be if they weren’t the ones counting the votes. I sometimes wonder if that might be the driving force behind their pell mell dash to bring Mexico into the United States via illegal immigration. We know all Leftists approve of this madness, but maybe they are trying to get as many in before the political pendulum starts swinging away from them.

Not that long ago, the Democrats were getting between 90-95%
of the Black vote. I understand that it is now down to about
85%. It’s headed even lower.

While those numbers are still concerning, I think it’s
representative of a group of people who are awakening to
how they have been used.

To a certain degree we have been too, so I’m not focusing
on them exclusively.

We’re trying very hard to loft a better quality of Reps.
Hopefully we can make some headway.

The problem is the Suburban White vote is replacing it.

I might not challenge that, and if we’re talking about
women, I think you have an even better point. It’s
scary to watch some of these women’s thought processes.

Look, the young men in the Woke group is certainly
disconcerting on its own.

I think some of those women drag young men over the
line too.

Black America is awakening to the fact that Democrats have counted on them to vote against their own best interests for years, and now the Democrats have to count on imported illegal replacement voters.

No, minority block voting is still what keeps Dem and left dems in power. Just look at the states won by Trump in 2016,he won 32 states but only 4 have a population of Hispanic voters over 13%. Clinton by contrast won 28 states and only 5 had a Hispanic population of under 13%. same for black voter analysis. .

The myth of white liberals turning states blue is what the MSM wants you to fall for, e.g. that CA’s leaving the state vote liberal-wrong! Tehy vote mroe conservative than their new states, that is why Fl and Tx are now more Red -and it is classic misdirection.

Yes, CA is the model Dems use, but it is the “block voting of people of color” that drives their vote.

CA is a state where “people of color”, are now about 60-65% and block vote for Dems-same as nationwide , Blacks still vote 90%+ Dem, Hispanics 70/30 Dem, Asians now 75/25% Dem- that is what drives the Dem vote in CA and most blue states

A good friend whose grandparents came from Greece said his grandmother almost stopped taking to him, because he said at the dinner table that he was voting for Bush and not Dukakis. He relayed that in that community, it was like being a war criminal if you didn’t vote for Dukakis.

It didn’t matter that the Greeks were proud Americans - he said his “Yaya” cried when PBS played the Star Spangled Banner before signing off like they did back in the day - it became a tribal thing in 1988.

There MAY be something to the writer’s comment about the pardons. Now, I suspect most working people (black or whatever) looked sideways at those pardons. But as FReeper Mermaid Girl wrote, “ I worked at a treatment center for troubled teens back when Trump was president. The girls knee jerk hated him... but a lot of my baby gangsta boys thought he was the Pimp Daddy and a good president — mostly because he meant jobs for black people. But they had to keep the Trump love quiet. It was so strange.”

My Greek friend said his Mom stood by him, but she too probably voted for the Tank Driver. It will be interesting go to see if the children of legacy black Dems start moving away from the party that even our dear lost writer agreed did jack squat for blacks even during the Obama years.

Interesting post. Thanks for relating your observations of
the family dynamic issue. Blacks have a very big problem
there, and you touched on that also.

It might be a good idea to play the national anthem each
day at a time it could all fit in just before midnight.

Well, in the Black neighborhood you have an issue with
people wanting to take out their displeasure on your home.

It has larger implications on family, friends, and associates
to criticize, and neighbors to do you harm. Perhaps some
family members also.
