A 13-year-old boy in Colorado has been arrested over the murder of a grandfather who was shot dead while on a bus.
Richard Sanchez, 60, was only a few blocks away from his house in Denver when he was killed on January 27 after he allegedly got into an argument with a teenager, according to Fox 31.
He was shot at about 6.40pm at the intersection of South Federal Boulevard and West Mississippi Avenue but his family only found out he died after they attempted to file a missing person report days later.
Sanchez was rushed to hospital but later pronounced dead. Another person was hurt in the incident and treated at the scene but did not need to go to hospital.

After stating that the 13 year old was arrested for murder, the “dead” part of shot dead is redundant and, in this headline, awkward.
You get the hang of it after a while -- dropped consonants, different idiomatic expressions, etc. More of it in colloquial than RP.

Check their dating habits. Probably filthy people who do legal adult things dontcha know.
Prove neglect. They are obviously bad parents.
I’ve noticed that some Brit shows have their actors use weaker accents in an attempt to broaden their appeal to the States.

Given it happened in Denver, justice might be better served if the trial for this murderer became moot.

That will probably be the last heard about this incident.
Denver is 65% Hispanic/Black
I think it’s “He shot him dead.”
There are sections of Denver that are mostly white. Other areas are mostly black. And still other sections which are mostly Latino. Today, with snow falling, Denver is seeing lots of white.
