A 13-year-old boy in Colorado has been arrested over the murder of a grandfather who was shot dead while on a bus.

Richard Sanchez, 60, was only a few blocks away from his house in Denver when he was killed on January 27 after he allegedly got into an argument with a teenager, according to Fox 31.

He was shot at about 6.40pm at the intersection of South Federal Boulevard and West Mississippi Avenue but his family only found out he died after they attempted to file a missing person report days later.

Sanchez was rushed to hospital but later pronounced dead. Another person was hurt in the incident and treated at the scene but did not need to go to hospital.

Denver police arrested a 13-year-old boy in connection with the murder on Thursday.

It’s just the way the Brits express the idea. ‘He was shot dead’ doesn’t mean the victim was dead when shot rather was dead because he was shot. It does look odd to us though.

As the suspect is 13 years old, his name and photo will not be released. However, if this was a black on Hispanic crime, there may be a serious blowback. Word will spread on the street, and Hispanics outnumber blacks in Denver, as is the case almost everywhere in the West.
