The other thing is that if Palestine is an official state, then Israel conducting war on them after that state attacked them unprovoked is legitimate. Whoops.
Several times here people like me have noted that many American Jews have little or no interest in the State of Israel. When Exodus with Paul Newman and the Ten Commandments with Charlton Heston were in theaters, it was a different story.
