Whatever. I’m just glad you’re not on the jury.

Why “whatever”?

I am angry about the dumb ass douchebag so-called “conservatives” who engaged in actual violence, never mind the Antifa jerkoffs there. And I am not talking about people who did nothing wrong, and there are plenty of them in jail. I am talking about people who assaulted police and damaged property.

I make a clear distinction.

I have been to dozens of protests down in DC, and I was alway proud to be there with conservatives. I almost went down there for January 6th but was unable to do so. But I have learned, in watching events, that there is absolutely no equivalence. None. They were slobs, engaged in exchanges in profanity and obscenity, were indecent in actions, appearance, and message. They left massive messes behind them.

We as conservatives, uniformly and ALWAYS conducted ourselves responsibly with civility, and we cleaned up after ourselves.

On January 6th, there were tens or hundreds of thousands of REAL conservatives who went down to show their displeasure, and did so in a civil and responsible fashion, without fail.

But because a few hundreds couldn’t restrain themselves and did things they damn well should not have, they were the ones who handed the a-hole Leftists their “insurrection” BS.

I have zero sympathy for anyone who engaged in assaults or destruction, and all the sympathy for people who went there to exercise their rights and were painted with the same brush as those jackasses who did.

Don’t you think, if YOU were presented with evidence in a trial that included video and other imagery, that YOU could have enough intelligence and impartiality to be fair in your judgement?

If you think that every single person who was there should be given a blanket pardon, then this discourse we are having would be worthless, and not worth pursuing.

But if you, like me, are proud of the fact that we, as Conservatives, are better than those leftist turds who burn down buildings and assault police and innocent people and businesses, then we have common ground.

If you believe that there should have actually been overt violence, I cannot find common ground with you. Even with the clear deliberate provocations at some points in that crowd by the police such as firing tear gas and flash bangs into the crowd, I would take that into account.

But I am not going to simply accept the word of someone who was there who was charged and fled the country. I will listen and judge, but I am not going to accept that the person is a victim without proof in his favor. Nor would I judge in favor of conviction with the lack of it.
