It's that in July 1990 she failed to war Saddam Hussein in strong enough language that if he invaded Kuwait, it would mean the death of him and his regime, along with eventual subservience of Suni Iraq to Shiite Iran.

I don't think Vlad the Invader is stupid, but rather is acting according to his plans and calculations regarding the weakness of Ukraine and the West generally, the USA's leadership specifically.
I’m sure it feels great to defend her, especially because of the relevancy here, but there plenty of people out there that say she plain outright screwed up. She was a DIPLOMAT, one who is charged with knowing her contemporaries, presenting clear, concise language to their foreign counterparts. She should have stayed in British Columbia from where she came.
