Fabrizio, Lee & Assoc., Jan. 17-18, N=600, Trump 64, Haley 25, DeSantis 8; and Trump 68, Haley 28 without DeSantis

Supposing Trump does as expected in New Hampshire on Tuesday, things go from bad to worse for Haley in South Carolina (her home state).

Notice that DeSantis fall in the polls so far, and his possible withdrawal from the race going forward, has not and won't help Haley. DeSantis appeal is to conservatives, while Haley's appeal is to moderates and never-Trump'ers. As DeSantis' prospects dimmed, his supporters drifted to Trump in at least similar numbers as they drifted to Haley. So, Haley is boxed in. There is no realistic scenario for her.

In the unlikely event that Trump exits the race, I believe his supporters would turn to somebody new (although a proven commodity), like Texas Gov. Greg Abbott or former Sec. of State Mike Pompeo. Large numbers of Americans, certainly a majority within the Republican Party, have had it up to here with the lying and cheating of the Democrats and their cohorts in the media and elsewhere.

This is Trump's revenge tour; and, to quote Conan the Barbarian, what is best in life is "To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women."

If Haley doesn’t win her state, people will notice. It’ll be like Al Gore not winning Tennessee back in the day.

...Nikki Haley in her home state where she is best known...

That's probably the biggest reason she'll lose.

IF the GOPe nominates Nimrata Nikki Randhawa, it will prove beyond any reasonable doubt that the GOPe arm of the UniParty wants to deliberately lose to FJB and his merry band of queer flying monkeys.
This beotch will NEVER carry the south. She’s greatly despised in the south.
The RAT arm of the Uniparty knows this full well, and that’s why they’re supporting and pushing her onto the GOPe as hard as they can.
Other than Trump and a handful of others, they ALL pretty much suck.

In the unlikely event that Trump exits the race, his supporters will flock to DeSantis.

Could there be another large democrat crossover in South Carolina to screw up the republican results?

I was told years ago that Haley was not well thought of by the people in her state. They say she’s an “idiot”. I believe them.
