Judge Aileen Cannon denied without prejudice Special Counsel Jack Smith’s motion to compel Trump to disclose his defense strategy in the classified documents case in Florida.
In November, Jack Smith tried to force Trump to disclose his decision on whether he would use an “advice-of-counsel” defense in the classified documents case.
This could have forced Trump to waive attorney-client privilege.
Thankfully Judge Aileen Cannon, a Trump appointee, denied Jack Smith’s request.
“Denying without prejudice Special Counsel’s Motion to Compel Disclosure Regarding Advice-of-Counsel Defense. The Court has reviewed the Motion, Defendants’ Opposition, the Special Counsel’s Reply, and is fully advised in the premises. Assuming the facts and circumstances in this case warrant an order compelling disclosure of an advice-of-counsel trial defense, the Court determines that such a request is not amenable to proper consideration at this juncture, prior to at least partial resolution of pre-trial motions, transmission to Defendants of the Special Counsel’s exhibit and witness lists, and other disclosures as may become necessary. The Special Counsel’s Motion is therefore denied without prejudice,” Judge Cannon wrote on Friday.

After getting blown out of court along with Weissman in the Enron fiasco, he was relegated to the Hague to get him out of the way.
Garland brought him back as an attack dog with his career hanging in the balance. So he’s going all out. He succeeds in this, he’s a Big Man. Fail and he’s the goat of the century, and probably be hounded by Trump for the next decade.

Actually his cases that were blown up were his prosecution of Robert McDonnell, John Edwards and Rick Renzi. I thought he was an understudy to Weissman but I can’t find a reference to that. From AP (yeah, I know):

The section also prosecuted former Democratic vice presidential nominee John Edwards, but a jury acquitted him on one count and deadlocked on others and the Justice Department declined to try him again.
Although those two cases ultimately came up short, the section brought successful cases against a number of state officials charged with defrauding taxpayers as well as service members who defrauded the military. There were high-profile victories for the section, too.”

Jack wants to craft every tactical advantage for himself pre-trial.
Just a thought:
When the left and the globalists were working on their destruction of the U.S., they didn’t expect to be stopped in 2016. They had accomplished so much with Obama. I believe they had plans to put it in warp drive after Hilary was elected, but Trump messed up their timeline. Remember “Agenda 21” that had to be changed to “Agenda 30”.
Another thing that royally screwed them was Trump’s federal judge appointments, and especially SCOTUS.
This judge is a Trump appointee as is the judge that ruled on the Second Amendment case with the post office carry ruling yesterday. Judge Cannon is not bowing down to them and she is not allowing them to play the game their way.
Trump has really pissed in their cornflakes. That is why he must go. They are now way behind schedule and many of the old farts may not live to see their plans comes to fruition. Trump is interfering in their plans even while not in office. Plus, he gives conservatives too much courage. Courage begats courage. Look at the push-back we have seen lately.
