The tragic end of Gonzalo Lira: A voice silenced in Ukraine

Gonzalo Lira, a Chilean-American war commentator known for his critical views on the Zelensky regime and Russia-Ukraine conflict, passed away on January 11, 2024, in a hospital in Kharkiv, Ukraine. Lira's death followed an eight-month imprisonment on charges of ”justifying Russia's military actions in Ukraine”, sparking international controversy and raising questions about freedom of speech and human rights during wartime. Gonzalo Lira gained notoriety in 2022 as a vocal critic of what he perceived as increasing authoritarianism in Ukraine. Lira saw the conflict as a proxy war waged by US against Russia and critisised the loss of life for a futile and unwindable war. His arrest in May 2023, under the charges of "production and dissemination of materials justifying Russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine," was a turning point. It not only highlighted the complexities of war-time free speech but also catalysed opposition movements against US funding for the conflict. High-profile figures like tech mogul Elon Musk and Fox News host Tucker Carlson called for his release, bringing global attention to his case.

Lara's crimes? Sentenced to 8 months in Ukraine prison for "Justifying Russia's military actions in Ukraine." In other words, "wrongthink." Guess it's a miracle that Assange is still alive.

It’s worse in Russia - criticize Putin or the War, and you get thrown out a window

The USA is not paying for Russia’s pensions.

And likewise look at America. How many political prisoners does our government have? We don’t even know an exact number. Some have also died in prison.

Much or most of our national defense budget is based on defending us from Russia.

Sad he died but this guy seemed to have a death wish. People would warn him to be careful with what he was writing or he would be in trouble.

It is not worse in Russia. Here are two antiwar candidates running for President.

Now, they are facing the same ballot access issues as people running for President in the USA, but they are not sick in prison and denied medical care until they die.

Throughout history there have been people who have sacrificed for a cause.

Be thank for them.

We are in need of warriors these days.

There are different types of threats to our nation, internal and external, it is why President Trump cut loose billions to rebuild our nuclear capabilities, opened V Corps and moved it closer to Russia (Poland)pressed for improvement in NATO, fought to end NATO dependence on Russian energy, and reversed Obama’s rule on supplying weapons to Ukraine and kept the cluster munitions that were being destroyed, all while also fighting our DC internal problems.

Ukraine is totalitarian hellhole, an abomination to the world. And, it's exactly what the Biden regime, with the help of the Republican establishment, wants to turn this country into.

The regime wants the same fate for the J6 protesters that Lira suffered.

Sorry if current events don’t validate your Boomer Cold War nostalgia, but it is 2023, not 1983.

Govt of Volodymyr Zelensky Kills American Citizen Gonzalo Lira in Ukraine Prison

January 12, 2024 | Sundance | 246 Comments

After outlining the fraud behind the election of Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky, and after telling the truth about events inside Ukraine during the conflict with Russia, American journalist Gozalo Lira was arrested by the Ukrainian government and thrown in prison.  According to several sources, Gonzalo Lira (55) is dead.

Tucker Carlson stated,

“Gonzalo Lira, Sr. says his son has died at 55 in a Ukrainian prison, where he was being held for the crime of criticizing the Zelensky and Biden governments. Gonzalo Lira was an American citizen, but the Biden administration clearly supported his imprisonment and torture. Several weeks ago we spoke to his father, who predicted his son would be killed.”

Indeed, Lira outlined the details of the fabricated case against him as well as the torture he was enduring while captive [SEE HERE].

When the government arrested him no one was pretending it was simply for his videos and free speech; everyone knew the Ukranian government arrested Lira because the truth he was telling was against the interests of the Zelenskyy regime.

(WSAU) – […] Lira stated in a post on X back in July of 2023 that he was in the process of trying to escape Ukraine to plead for political asylum in nearby Hungary, and laid out documents he had received from Zelensky’s government detailing the case and charges against him as well as allegations of abuse he was receiving inside the Ukrainian prison.

Ukrainian officials stated in a press release when Lira was initially arrested that he was “one of the first to support the Russian invaders and glorify their war crimes.” They stated that he had “engaged in discrediting the top military and political leadership and the defense forces of our state.” (more)

Read Gonzalo Lira story in his own words HERE.

Now, there you go again!

The pot calling the kettle black!

Don't forget the hundreds that went to a political event on January 6th and are now locked up in solitary confinement in a dungeon deep the the bowels of DC.

How about giving us a list of the events from our own. Maybe you're okay when our government does such!
