The analysis said that Russia is on track to suffer 500,000 killed and wounded by the beginning of 2025, a figure dwarfing Russian losses in any other conflict since World War II.
Russian troops have spent the past couple of months trying to seize the eastern Ukrainian town of Avdiivka, situated in Donetsk Oblast, though they have made only limited gains...
On Friday, the Russians launched one of the biggest aerial assaults on Ukrainian cities since the war began in February 2022, with at least 39 people killed by 120 missiles and 36 drones, according to Kyiv. On Saturday, 10 people were killed and 40 injured by missiles and drones in the Russian city of Belgorod, according to Russian authorities...
In its December 30 update, the U.K. Ministry of Defense said: "During the course of 2023, the average daily number of Russian casualties (killed and wounded) in Ukraine has risen by almost 300 per day compared to 2022.
"The increase in daily averages, as reported by the Ukrainian authorities, almost certainly reflects the degradation of Russia's forces and its transition to a lower quality, high quantity mass army since the 'partial mobilisation' of reservists in September 2022," the report added. "It will likely take Russia five to ten years to rebuild a cohort of highly trained and experienced military units." ...
However, the British update said that Russia is on track to suffer 500,000 casualties, adding: "If casualties continue at the current rate through the next year, by 2025 Russia will have sustained over half a million personnel killed and wounded over three years of war. This is compared to the Soviet Union's 70,000 casualties in the nine-year Soviet-Afghan War." ...

But they are making Putin's idiotic Ukraine blunder the #1 cause of death for men in Russia
Now he has to do another mobilization, because Russian losses have been so high ...
The Pout has lip injections scheduled.
Ukraine's losses:
$60bn of US funding for Ukraine€50bn of EU funding for Ukraine
You forgot to add to that 50% of Ukraine’s population has fled the country.
British Propaganda during World War I to suck the US into the “war to end all wars” said that German soldiers tossed babies into the air to land on their bayonets.
Its way past time we stopped listening the British Intelligence Bravo Sierra.
So a small country, with only half its population left, is STILL able to fend off “mighty” Russia?
Amazing!
True, but why hasn’t Putin won yet?
Hit the abuse button and ask the mods to remove it.
Nothing like posting an intelligence analyst from a globohomopedo country!
Woo eeee!
Rape of Belgium
The Rape of Belgium was a series of systematic war crimes, especially mass murder and deportation, by German troops against Belgian civilians during the invasion and occupation of Belgium during World War I.
—>> True, but why hasn’t Putin won yet?
That is also a great question for you to think about.
Don’t settle for just one possibility.

Map, meet canuck_zeeper!
The problem is that Russia has so much more cannon fodder, and Ukraine is out.
They did that and lots worse starting only 21 years later.
It's Ukraine using 70-somethings and women on their frontlines. While Russia has 500,000 sign up for the war in the past year, Ukraine has had to force conscripts the frontlines at the point of gun.
This Baghdad Bob-level nonsense.
I rode on a whale shark once, and saw all kinds of lip pouty things sucked to the side of the shark. They pretty much looked like her.
So a small country backed by America, NATO, Australia, and Canuckistan with everything except massed troops is losing, badly. When the worm turns in America, and it will because nothing lasts forever, there will be payback for lefty countries like Canada and I don't know if Canada will survive as an independent nation. Canadians have conceitedly been mucking around in American affairs for too long.
