Allowing minor children to take life altering drugs and have irreversible surgical procedures is child abuse regardless of the wishes of the parent or the child or an interested third party. Children, who are the ones most effected by the procedures, lack the ability to make an informed decision. When they reach majority they can do as they please as long as they hurt no others.
