[Giuliani's] lawyer has argued there is no evidence Giuliani himself encouraged the harassment. Sibley told jurors that right-wing website Gateway Pundit was “patient zero” in spreading the conspiracy theory about the women, and said Giuliani was sued because he is “patient deep pockets.”
“Just because these things happened — and they did happen — doesn’t make my client responsible for them,” Sibley said.

With apologies for kicking Giuliani while he's down, but I think this is pretty tacky. Is he saying that Gateway Pundit should NOT have provided the video?
Gateway Pundit ran the video, then Giuliani commented on it, then some people went off the rails about harassing the election workers. Giuliani should have looked in the other direction -- meaning that he should have emphasized that he was merely voicing concerns, and he did not himself urge or condone the personal attacks on the election workers.
What personal attacks? Being accused of doing exactly what they were doing?
Rudy may have to stop drinking, but he has the legal know-how to overturn this verdict on appeal. He can spend the rest of his life making these people regret ever taking him to court.

Public discussion of election integrity, including accusations of misconduct by specific officials, is fine. Calling them at home with death threats etc. is not.
Every barrel has a few bad apples. Some of the people on our side got carried away. From what I read about the trial, the plaintiffs’ testimony about things like that had a big impact on the jury. Giuliani got blamed for everything that other people did.

Thanks, I didn’t know that. With the benefit of hindsight, it looks like a smart tactical decision by OAN.
We bystanders might urge OAN to fight to the last drop of blood. This verdict suggests that fighting might have put OAN out of business.

You can forget the RNC.. if they take a side, of won’t be our side.
As for Trump’s response - I would bet my life on it - because he can’t exonerate himself without also exonerating Giuliani and the rest.
All of these bogus charges against Trump and his lawyers rest on a single false premise - that the 2020 election was not stolen.
The things Trump said to his supporters were only insurrection if they were lies - if he proves they were not lies, he proves his innocence.
The things Giuliani said were only harassment or defamation if they were lies. If he proves they were not lies, he proves his innocence.
The RNC is hopeless. But Trump is another matter. He has to focus on winning the election. And if he wins, pity the fools in Georgia (I live in Georgia BTW) that have brought this travesty of justice to life against Rudy and Trump.
The jurors wasn’t allowed to hear any of Giuliani’s argument per the judge so how the hell can they make a logical decision on what the Georgia election workers should receive.

You are overthinking this. It's a crap court with a lying judge, a lying plaintiff, and rigged every way around.
These people should just go to prison. That's where they belong with this level of corruption.
Our court system is garbage, and it needs to be demolished and reconstituted with competent honest people instead of the dreck we mostly have now.
