I just don’t think we last much longer as a union of 50 states. I can’t say what will effect the change, but the First Republic of the United States will end and be replaced (I hope) by the Second Republic of the United States. And that will have fewer than 50 states.

The first Republic ended in 1861. What we had next was a central government far more powerful and intrusive than the founders ever intended.
