INDIANA child services took their kid away when they refused to affirm his "gender identity." Now they are petitioning the Supreme Court.

These Christian parents in Indiana, Jeremy and Mary Cox, are now petitioning the United States Supreme Court to regain custody of their son, who was taken away from them in 2021 because they refused to "affirm" his transgender identity.

This is an update to a story we've covered before. You can read about how the family was broken up by the state because Indiana thinks that not allowing your child to live in delusion is abuse.

The Supreme Court of Indiana has refused to hear the case brought by the Indiana Family Institute, leaving the Cox family with no option but to petition the highest court in the land to hear their case.

It's 2023, and it will take a ruling from the Supreme Court to allow parents to raise their child in a Christian household and in their REAL sex.

The petition, filed by IFI's General Counsel Josh Hershberger, argues for protecting parental rights, free speech and the free exercise of religion. The Coxes assert in the petition, "No other fit parent should lose custody of their child or face a government muzzle on their deeply held religious beliefs and best judgment. M.C. and J.C. have exhausted every other remedy and are gravely concerned that the state of Indiana will come for their other children. This Court's intervention is needed."

All because they don't want their boy to grow up and think he's a girl.

In "conservative" Indiana. A red state. Child services and the courts have made it clear that they blame the parents' refusal to indulge the transgender delusion for their son's anorexia and that it is tantamount to child abuse.

There was an attempt earlier this year to pass a law preventing the removal of children because parents don't "affirm" transgenderism, but the law failed.

And for the Coxes, the SCOTUS seems to be their only hope of ever having their child back in their loving arms.

You can watch the testimony of this family from early this year here:

I would think the last thing the left would want is to take a case like this to SCOTUS. A loss here and it is curtains for the left. Unless of course they want to use this as a campaign issue.

Obviously, Justice Brown Jackson will need to recuse herself since she cannot define what a woman (or girl) actually is.

yes, that is sarcasm

I fear we could actually lose this. I bet if the SC can find a way to keep it a state issue they will. The SC does not want to go anywhere near this issue.

Normally I'd agree with you that SCOTUS would say custody issues are a state issue. But I believe the good guys are trying to win it with 1st Amendment and 14th Amendment rights (14th Amendment extending to states the religious protection of the 1st Amendment).

From the article (the parents' argument): "No other fit parent should lose custody of their child or face a government muzzle on their deeply held religious beliefs and best judgment."

So, pseudoscientific medical authorities can invent a non-existent disorder called gender dysphoria and the next thing you know children are being ripped from their families. Another example of the utter destruction wreaked by mental health charlatans. I guess creating mass shooters, Ritalin addicted children and armies of the homeless isn’t enough for this evil profession.

The Supreme Court may recognize the parents' rights in this matter. However, the underlying issue is that Indiana, a state that has voted for the Republican Presidential candidate 14 out of 16 times since 1940, that Trump carried by 16 percentage points in 2020, and that has Republican supermajorities in both houses of the legislature, has an anti-Christian, pro-pervert social services agency.

The reason is that the voters of Indiana regularly elect too many RINOs to elective offices. Hoosiers need to clean up their HOP.

Indiana Republicans must have fallen asleep to allow this to happen. Didn’t Pence weaken on an LGBT issue when he was governor?

So even though Indiana has overwhelming GOP majorities

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indiana_General_Assembly

in both chambers and a GOP governor, a bill to prevent this nonsense was killed by the GOP senate leader.

March 14, 2023 - Senate President Pro Tem Rodric Bray, R-Martinsville, has assigned a controversial bill involving transgender children and the Department of Child Services to the Senate Rules Committee, likely meaning it is dead for the session.

Doctors once treated just about every known malady with leeches. Now when a 10 year old boy declares he’s a girl they chemically castrate him.

Yep. He amended the state's RFRA bill

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2015/04/02/indiana-religious-freedom-law-deal-gay-discrimination/70819106/

Senate President Pro Tem David Long, in unveiling the revised law, said it will "unequivocably state that Indiana's (religious freedom) law does not and will not be able to discriminate against anyone, anywhere at any time."

"The amendment means that for the first time an Indiana law will include the language "sexual orientation" and "gender identity."

“Everything else we shall destroy – everything. Already we are breaking down the habits of thought which have survived from before the Revolution. We have cut the links between child and parent, and between man and man, and between man and woman. No one dares trust a wife or a child or a friend any longer. But in the future there will be no wives and no friends. Children will be taken from their mothers at birth, as one takes eggs from a hen. The sex instinct will be eradicated. Procreation will be an annual formality like the renewal of a ration card. We shall abolish the orgasm. Our neurologists are at work upon it now. There will be no loyalty, except loyalty towards the Party. There will be no love, except the love of Big Brother.” ― George Orwell, 1984

People need to start shooting MF’ers. No way in hell they would take one of my kids without a gunfight.

THANK GOD this only happens to IDIOTS who live in Blue State. Here in Texas, we’re Red, and only vote Republican, so it can NEVER HAPPEN HERE. For if it could happen here, I’d be trying to help the Indiana case.

The article didn’t state the boy’s age, and 2 yrs have passed since he was removed from his family. I’m sure within those 2 years the damage has been done.
