Chris Christie declares himself a ‘Brian Kemp Republican’ in Georgia (yeah we knew that)

On the debate stage and on the campaign trail, former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie has loudly urged other Republicans to focus their attention not on their own internal squabbling but on Donald Trump’s comeback bid.

During an interview Tuesday on “Politically Georgia,” Christie also repeatedly brought up another GOP figure: Gov. Brian Kemp, a longtime ally who defeated a Trump-backed candidate last year and hasn’t yet taken sides in the 2024 race.

"I’m proud to be a Brian Kemp Republican. I was with Brian Kemp in 2018 when he ran the first time. I was with him in the primary in 2022 and obviously in the general election as well,” Christie said during the program on WABE. “That’s the kind of Republican that can win in the state of Georgia.”

Trump knows Christie really, really well. Betcha he even knows where Christie’s skeletons are buried. Can’t wait for Trump to lower the boom on him.

Kemp had the bully pulpit to keep Rattburger from entering into that consent decree (re: how mail-in votes would be checked) with the Democrat Party and he did not.

Who was the Trump-backed candidate that Gov. Gump defeated last year?

That’s because Chris Christie ate Brian Kemp. Nothing personal but poor Kemp got between Christie and his plate of Krispy Kremes so he ended up as collateral damage.

I’d vote for Christie if he was running against Kamalala. Then I’d go on an extended drinking binge.

Georgia is a conservative state with a massive liberal ghetto problem in Atlanta (and in a few smaller cities like Albany).

Ergo, we get a governor who is a strange mixed-breed dog. He's not a hard core liberal Democrat, but then he's not a conservative either.

The only reason Christie is even in the news is so the left media can keep throwing stones at Trump.

Christie’s not in office anymore and did not even get enough votes to be on the ballot as a candidate.
