Someone around here pointed out that this was a play that Boehner used to run. Submit two @$$#013 bills, then whichever one got the most votes would be sent to the Senate with glittery stuff all over it.

They basically don’t want to lead. Republicans in general are uncomfortable with the concept of leading because they don’t really have any core convictions or values that they are willing to fight for. If they had any, we would see a steady, concerted effort to advance the conservative agenda instead of constantly trying to reach across the isle to their “Democrat colleagues” who just exploit their weakness.
