They'll just pass it in the middle of the night as usual.

This is a promising sign that members are listening to their constituents.

Yeah. And section 702 is being renewed until April in the NDAA.

Because they just can’t let it expire. Which would be SO easy to do, because all you have to do is NOTHING AT ALL.

But the oligarchs NEED section 702 to know what’s going on.

Don’t reauthorize it. The government doesn’t need warrants to spy on foreigners. And if it wants to spy on its citizens, it can go to a regular judge and ask for a warrant. No more secret courts and secret warrants. They have proven they cannot be trusted with such powers after using them to spy on the President and Congress for political purposes.

It is amazing that after all the reports of the abuse of FISA, and the lawlessness around its usage by the fbi, they just try to keep it going on.

There have been multiple tense hearings in the House and the Senate, where fbi leaders admitted to FISA abuse. Republican reps and senators were spewing fire and brimstone about the lawlessness around FISA usage. Wray sat there smugly, claiming that he has instituted policies to stop its abuse. However, he will not reveal what those policies are to Congress. The BS is so thick in the fbi leadership testimonies that even a fool can see through it.

After all that the GOP Congress is just going to hand them back the stick that they use to beat on GOP voters and Americans in general. This is the same thing they did when the provided more funding to the fbi.

What is the point of all these fiery hearings in the House and Senate if the Republicans are just going to do business as usual and not bring about change when it matters?!!

Maybe they do the hearing for entertainment purposes for their constituents, so that gop voters can watch the video clips and be entertained.

After all of the abuse of FISA Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Turner, R-Ohio, still wants to extend it, the question is why?

Whose side is Mike Turner on?

The two subcommittees need to get together and make a bill both subcommittees can agree on.
