Sen. Fetterman hopes Democrats know 'it isn't xenophobic' to worry about border, says party should 'engage'

Sen. John Fetterman, D-Penn., said that he hopes Democrats know that it "isn't xenophobic" to be worried about the southern border and argued that the Democratic Party should engage in debates about it.

"I hope Democrats can understand that it isn’t xenophobic to be concerned about the border," Fetterman told Politico. "It’s a reasonable conversation, and Democrats should engage."

Fetterman cited the near 270,000 border encounters in September, according to the outlet, and said it was "astonishing."

"You essentially have Pittsburgh showing up there at the border," he added.

The guy has really presented an individual display of himself that leaves me in his corner lately.

Reminds me of a coworker of mine that was on a school board. The RNC ran him thru the wringer and told him he was not a quality candidate for the state legislature.

He had less than a $5 million estate and a poor credit rating. He also raised 5 children, worked a full time job on midnight shift, farmed 80 acres, and cut the grass on all the public school properties.

What passes as a vetted, quality candidate leaves me confused?
