Free speech has been replaced by institutional stupidity at Harvard, UPenn

years-long abandonment of free speech has allowed radicalism and anti-semitism to fester on campus.

Where free speech dies, institutional stupidity takes its place.

...

Jewish students were mobbed by pro-Palestinian demonstrators at Harvard and protesters were heard chanting for an “Intifada revolution” on UPenn’s campus this weekend — leading the Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights to investigate both schools for Title VI discrimination violations.

...

Students retreat into echo chambers where their beliefs go unchecked, and they are readily swept down radical rabbit holes in which Zoomer TikTokers are inexplicably celebrating the philosophy of Osama bin Laden.

In the face of international conflict, those students have resurfaced and shown themselves for what they’ve become: elite college students celebrating the rape and murder of innocent civilians in the name of “decolonization” and “progressivism.”

...

Young radicals want to push the envelope. And, when their professors and authority figures are themselves young radicals who never grew up, the next generation will grasp for the next frontier.

Today’s professors are no longer predominantly stodgy, bow-tie wearing classical liberals. They’re critical theorists with nose piercings and a distaste for Western values.

Denigrating the Founding Fathers and wearing Che Guevara T-shirts isn’t radical anymore. Desperate transgressors need to dig deeper in search of an edgy cause — and they’ve found one in the Israel-Palestine conflict.

...

Today’s campus radicals have stooped so low that they’re celebrating the words of Osama bin Laden and the murder of civilians in Israel.

Harvard, Penn and other elite campuses must contend with the radicalism they’ve fostered on their campuses. Now that they’re finally paying the price with donors pulling their dollars, perhaps they will.

This isn’t mere “stupidity” — it’s the natural result of a radical program that was quite intentional. (It’s true that there are useful idiots, of course, but they’re not the drivers.)

Someone was doing a talk the other day about why the fringe must remain the fringe.

The up shot was that when the fringe becomes mainstream that a new fringe shows up. And they are guano crazy.

Any student that can’t tolerate an open and robust debate of ideas, including things they may find offensive, should not be in college in the first place.

Any faculty or administrators that engage in the practice of stifling an open and free exchange of said ideas should not be employed by taxpayers.

Any institution of ‘higher learning’ that allows such students to be enrolled and faculty employed should not be funded with tax dollars.

Remove taxpayer funds to such institutions, and the problem will go away.

“Free speech has been replaced by institutional stupidity at Harvard, UPenn”

It is NOT stupidity. They know exactly what they’re doing.

It’s a crying shame what affirmative action has done to America’s best colleges and universities.

The good thing is that Ivy league presidents are feeling the heat. It won’t end until they expel the Muslim terrorists in the faculty and student body.

Why don’t the Hamas supporting protesters yell the actual words that describe their intentions? Is it because too many of those vulnerable to their felonious indoctrination would suddenly walk away and turn against them, if the actual truth was yelled “torture, rape, murder, pillage, genocide to all those who are not supplicants or submitters to their so called ‘true’ ideology?”
