Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky will appeal directly to U.S. senators on Tuesday as he seeks assurances on approval for delivery of the next tranche of aid and lethal military equipment to his embattled country.

The personal entreaty will take place via secure video as part of a closed, classified briefing on the war in Europe, UPI reports.

Senate majority leader Chuck Schumer announced he extended the Biden administration’s invitation to Zelensky on Monday.

I read something the other day that stated that Ukraine has received $223M per day from the U.S. since February of this year. Our congress must really be raking it in.

“Here is the best-kept secret about U.S. military aid to Ukraine: Most of the money is being spent here in the United States. That’s right: Funds that lawmakers approve to arm Ukraine are not going directly to Ukraine but being used stateside to build new weapons or to replace weapons sent to replace weapons sent to Kyiv from U.S. stockpiles. Of the $68 billion in military and related assistance Congress has approved since Russia invaded Ukraine, almost 90 percent is going to Americans, one analysis found.”

Then it is most certainly time to shut the money down.
No matter where it is going, we need to be done with this.

Absolutely. We need to lose those good American jobs in Texas exporting energy to Europe and Make Russia Great Again ASAP.

They’ve been silenced for a long time. The imperialists have already had their day (Hell, they’ve had their century). It’s time for sanity to prevail, and for the Neo-Cons to be driven into the arms of the Democrats. They can have them.

This isn’t much of a secret. What were the Ukrainians reasonably going to do with money that we gave them for a war effort? PErhaps launder some of it, but obviously the vast majority was going to have to purchase war materials. That still does not mean it’s not unnecessary (and thus inflationary) spending that couldn’t be spent on something more productive (or simply not dumped into the economy at all).

We did just fine and so did Europe. We open up America again, get rid of RATs and neocons, your gang, and recovery will happen.

Until Joe Biden and his neocon started war in Ukraine, America was doing well. people know how much better life was then and that is why they want Biden and his war whores gone.

Russia is still doing better than we are after the incredible waste that is Ukraine. We know it is true or all of you Zeepers wouldn’t be squawking the usual neocon mantra of we need a war everywhere all the time.

History shows us that Putin has been meddling in Ukraine since he occupied the Kremlin 20 years ago and that, obviously, was long before Biden.

You don’t believe Ukrainians have a right to their own borders, language and culture just as Marxist Democrats believe Americans don’t have that right. So, provably, you have quite bit in common ideologically with America hating Marxist Democrats. FRegards.

The neocons and their wars.... And yet, it seems the initial “successes” in war from Viet Nam forward have all turned into losses of various kinds. Iraq is a mess, Libya worse. Afghanistan has been returned to the Taliban with massive amount of war material left behind. Syria returned to the Arab League only recently, and now the small US military contingent there is asked to leave by several official governments. All the while Nuland of Obama and ISW fame is now number two under Blinken in the Biden administration. I come to think of some supposed ‘conservatives’ on Free Republic now “Liz Cheney adjacent.” Or certainly “Nuland-adjacent.” And a few even cite Biden-endorsers in the 2020 election as their sources.

Liz Cheney has taught us all a lesson....

Over in week if the administration had any common sense. This is our war. Europe is a joke and as usual our govt won’t do what it takes to win but had to stick its nose in there and now there’s no good way out, as always. Money and lives will continue to be wasted.
