“Grow our food and harvest both wildlife and farm animals in addition to bartering with others. The gold and silver is for later.
You and I can do that.
However all these sites trying to sell gold and silver
to city people are just used car sales men.

Which would you rather have a #1400 cow or 1 ounce of gold,
when the stores are all closed for months?

Both. Along with family that knows how to butcher, process, and cook that cow, pig, chicken, deer, rabbit, squirrel, or even opossum and raccoon.

That mineralX site is something to go visit now and again, mainly just to get some pix of cool old silver bars, if that’s at all interesting to you. The auctions end Sunday evenings.

I’m completely astounded at some of the prices people have paid for those older obscure bars. And the bids are thick, too, there are/were 40-odd bids for some of them. Eg; multiple participants. Then again, people will pay $25K for 1957 Strat guitar, but that’s quite a different thing than a brand new one for $1200. but the average non-guitar-geek wouldn’t think there’s any diff between a ‘57 Strat and a brand new one.

But the other thing revealed by these obscure mints and the idea that you or I have never heard of them (if you are any sort of metals guy) is that silver has gone through what I can only call bizarre and VERY LONG periods of over and undervalution. And these little mints/refiners go out of business all the time. Or they are just a few dudes working out of their garage. Or both. In exactly what form were the kilotons of silver brought up from the Comstock lode delivered to the US Mint to make coins? There’s definitely a fairly interesting historical wild-west aspect to these tiny mints.

But again, a pure digital currency is NOT the SOLUTION. It is path to total enslavement.

Even in the relative "short term" Biden (abbreviation for the regime) could decide to create an EO which would regulate independent crypto currencies to death. Who would stop him? Congress? Scotus? Unless some of the elites own the same crypto currency as you and me, big gov might decide to step on it. Big gov just leaking plans to do so could be devastating.

I agree. Which is why I’m avoiding anything to do with bitcoin. Does anyone really think the “powers that be” will let anyone other than themselves create an alternate currency? Especially one that is supposed to be untraceable and untaxed? Yeah, right! Like THAT’s going to happen. They are working hard enough to do away with cash and simple barter by questioning any cash found in your wallet and attempting to tax even the most minor transactions between family and friends. We are at the point that a simple reimbursement check for picking up groceries for your elderly parents is questioned and could be treated as income unless you can provide a paper-trail proving otherwise.

The fact is the government wants all our money and all our labor (Votes? They can get those elsewhere). It will be up to us to prove that we “deserve” more than our yearly government approved allotment.

I might consider crypto again if we can get a sane, honest person in the white house, but even then, one always has to invest with care. Bankman-Fried and Madoff, who went to prison but investors still lost, not to mention various fools leading multitudes of fools. DOJ and blue states have a new job: destroy Biden's enemies.

Biden could try to attack gold, but that would be a lot more difficult.

I place no faith in any Crypto Currencies.

Valuables are tangible assets. And things you physically use.

Can they be stolen? Yes.

After a fight.

True, and if Biden decides to regulate Musk’s corporations, or any company or investment he doesn’t like, to death, who is going to stop him?

Well, Musk seems to be able to take care of himself.
