The gag order barring former President Donald Trump from speaking publicly about court staff in his New York civil fraud trial was reinstated by a state appeals court Thursday.
Appellate Judge David Friedman earlier this month had temporarily lifted the limited gag order against Trump, 77, over concerns it was a violation of his constitutional right to free speech.
But a four-judge panel with New York’s Appellate Division, First Department overturned Friedman’s ruling in a brief decision Thursday that didn’t provide any explanation.
Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron — who is overseeing the $250 million case against Trump — in October issued two rulings barring the 2024 GOP presidential frontrunner and his lawyers from speaking publicly about the court’s staff.
Engoron then proceeded to hit Trump with $15,000 in fines total after finding that he’d twice violated the order.

All of these “judges” on the Trump Lynch Mob make me gag. Real POS.
No, Trump needs to ridicule them without violating the gag order. He needs to make a big show that he’s going to say something, then pause and get someone from the crowd to come up and saw what they think about this judge and his order to the rally crowds and do it over and over and over. Comply but don’t really comply.

I'm reminded of Wojciech Jaruzelski vs. Lech Walesa in the 70s and 80s. The state only wins if you surrender, otherwise they will reveal and destroy themselves by going too far.
Because they had no legal standing to give such a ruling, other than "Orange Man Bad."

At some point, the Judge will just throw him in jail. I’m not sure Trump would do well in Rikers.

I not only agree, I’ve been saying that since day one.
He’ll have Secret Service agents guarding his body. I’m not sure Rikers could withstand those guys, let alone hurt Trump.

I don’t think he’d do well irrespective of his personal physical safety. It’s not a stretch to say he’s a proud man and being there would likely take an emotional toll.
