Trump believes branding is important. Many of the times Trump fires back are to protect his brand. Many of the names Trump uses to rivals or people that insult him are to define those peoples brands in the eyes of the American people.
How sad for the Free State libertarians who moved to the “Live Free or Die” state to find their fellow citizens leaning toward those candidates who haven’t swallowed the freemarketeer Kool-Aid.
What’s the thinking re Trump choosing “Birdbrain” for Haley? Are people supposed to think Haley is stupid or just stupid for challenging Trump? Obviously, he miscalculated as she’s rising in the polls.

I don’t think DeSantis has much of a chance, but having seen him up close here in NH, he is at a particular disadvantage in a small state where there’s a tradition of getting out and meeting the voters - he’s terrible up close, like an android programmed to act human by a bad programmer.
The threat of tariffs is more effective than actual tariffs. But whatever tariffs Ron would or would not place on items, they would pale in comparison to Trump’s multi-generation busting spending to curtail the Wuflu.

It’s because many genuinely don’t care if Trump wins or not. They just want to flip the bird at The Man. Flip the table over and beat their chests. School yard stuff. Political policy is exactly the last thing of interest there.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Monday undid a looming $1.2 billion tax hike on Central Florida residents that he inadvertently imposed a year ago in a hastily passed bill meant to punish Walt Disney Co. for criticizing his so-called “Don’t Say Gay” law.
“The corporate kingdom finally comes to an end,” the Republican said, taking the lectern at a firehouse on Disney property.
Monday’s law cancels the scheduled dissolution of a special taxing district for the 25,000 acres owned by Disney south of Orlando, which lawmakers passed and DeSantis signed into law over a three-day span last April.
