Well there is the elephant in the room, the blue counties in eastern Kentucky, that went for Trump in 2020 went for Beshear last night.

Eastern Kentucky is coal country, Appalachia, they would not vote for a black man to be Governor.

I know from previous experience in the 2006 PA governor race, I asked my uncle who he would vote for, Rendell or Swann, he said to me, he wasn't going to vote.

Mods pull if too controversial.

he wasn't going to vote.

I believe you. What nobody seems to be talking about is that total turnout was over 100k less than 4 years ago. Which suggests that pro-aborts were not turning out in droves as the Fake News and RINOs would have you believe, but instead that someone else was staying home in droves.

The people you describe may very well be that someone else who stayed home.

There could be some measure of cheating going on. You can’t tell me that those who influenced the vote through mail-in ballots or drop boxes aren’t continuing to refine the system down to the county.

“Eastern Kentucky is coal country, Appalachia, they would not vote for a black man to be Governor.”

Dumb bastards would rather vote for the party that’s trying to kill their livelihoods/survival.

And, with Soros ads labeling him an Uncle Tom and race traitor, I bet he was unable to motivate blacks to come out to vote for him, if they bothered to turn out at all.

Were there any marijuana issues on the ballot? That is how the Dems get their turnout.

"Appalachia, they would not vote for a black man to be Governor."

Plus, Cameron was blasted with an abortion issue and outfinanced. Racist Rs also had a convenient excuse with Beshear's disaster response which was good.

Beshear appears moderate and is popular. Should McConnel pass or retire before 2026 Beshear has vowed to defy KY constitutional law and appoint a D senator and fight it out in court. Such action COULD flip the senate to D control.

If that happens, Beshear will become the D golden boy for '28. If it happened in '24 Ds might elevate him to run immediately. Watch him.

Beshear had a 100,000 plurality in Jefferson Co. (Louisville). In the rest of Kentucky Cameron had more votes. Beshear carried Warren Co. (Bowling Green) although Trump carried that county easily both in 2016 and 2020. Maybe it was college students at Western Kentucky University fired up over abortion.

What is bizarre is that the governor's race had 31,294 more votes than the average of all the other statewide races.

There were 1,321,335 votes in the Governor's race.

There were 1,296,774 votes in the Attorney General's race.

There were 1,295,178 votes in the Secretary of State's race.

There were 1,288,478 votes in the State Auditor's race.

There were 1,284,478 votes in the State Treasurer's race.

There were 1,285,327 votes in the Agriculture Commissioner's race.

The number of votes in the Governor's race is over 6 standard deviations above the mean of the other statewide races.

Reminds me of the breakdown of New York State's counties in all elections. The majority are red counties, with a handful of blue cities, like Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Albany, NY City, and its surrounding counties, but our State Legislature is 3-1 Democratic majority.

From 2022 Governor's race:

New York Governor election results

Scroll down, and click on the + sign to open up the rest of the counties. Hochul had four counties that registered 70% or more in her favor. Zelden had 11 counties with 70% or more of the votes in his favor.
